They’re the highest scorers in the league and have the 5th best defensive record. Had they beaten Ipswich, which seems an utterly bizarre result, they’d be sitting second right now. They’re favourites for the Europa and they have a decent chance at the league cup.

Although I don’t think he’s an amazing player, kalvin Phillips was adequate cover for that role until Guardiola dropped him from existence and decided he didn’t want him! (Who signed off on that £55mil buy if that’s the case??). Instead he’s playing a RB in rico Lewis there who isn’t good enough to play that role.

This downfall is beauty to see and just goes to show Guardiola isn’t as great as the world thinks. Give him an Everton and he’d be relegated.

 

I don't know the full ins and outs but wasn't Philips half arsing training n overweight? I don't know if that came before or after being shut out by Pep.

Guardiola called Phillips out for being “overweight” at a time he was consistently playing well for England and didn’t look overweight at all! I’m sure Guardiola never question busquets having .5kg or anything on him. Was a very strange situation whatever was happening
