I’ve always hated Puffy, and thought his being ‘all in the videos - dancing’ and constant popping up in songs seriously harmed Biggie’s (and others) work - but I had learned to tolerate it.

Genuinely just turned off one of my favourite songs ever there because of the wee *.2Pac had these * sussed back in the 90’s.

Listened to it a few times now and all I can say is …. WOW

For me he’s up there with the greatest ever and the undisputed greatest of the past 10-15 years.

From Section 80 to this he’s been several levels above every other rapper in the game. And I say this as somebody who listens to Kool G Rap era all the way thru to this generation. The guy is absolutely incredible and the bar that every other (mainstream at least) rapper should be aiming for.

Still flicking thru the album just now and “Reincarnated” has got to be best tribute to Tupac ever recorded. What an album.

Don't like Kendrick, he's an evil little goblin. You have to prove a better point or make a bigger impact then dissing drake to impress me though. Fair play those lyrics are good same could be said for eminem. Some regard those as the goats but there is more to hiphop then lyrics in that category, emcees have cadence and flow. You can manufacture a rapper anyday and feed it to the masses but a real emcee will make you think on a deeper level.

within hiphop there are energies and laws that are polarised and playing against each other. Thing is people are scared to touch it. Like being able to destroy someones spirit is a major factor in it, but really that's just people playing with energy. Modern rappers are far from masters of that energy.

This alone tells me you’ve no listened to much of Kendrick’s discography.

He’s literally born and raised on the streets of Compton, blood affiliated, respected by his peers and the legends as one of the best to ever do it.

I listen to all eras of rap music and Kendrick is a better artist than 99% of rappers that have came before him. He’s the furthest thing from manufactured as you can get. Drake on the other hand is the polar opposite.

I can’t appreciate the artistry. That’s the thing mate, I do recognise him as a rapper but rappers don’t get the same respect as proper emcees. I maybe go too far by saying he’s manufactured but trends don’t impress me and neither does dissing drake. There’s a million emcees that come before this guy in my opinion and I don’t get the hype but that’s alright.
You guys like his music and I respect that but the goat? No chance, not when you have Nas, Tupac, Krs and others who have been doing it for decades. Really there’s not much I can say substantial because it’s all personal taste anyway
