This would be a good road for the vermin to go down, they will be behind Aberdeen for years with these signings

Lyall Cameron is nowhere near as good as Miller.

There's a reason the talk over the entire summer was for McCowan, who is vastly superior as well.

It's funny when they talk about making a move for Miller until someone chimes in that we'll literally offer £500k more and remove them for the equation. They couldn't afford what Motherwell want anyway.

Tbf to them Cameron would walk into that hun team and easily be their best midfielder. He doesn't lay a glove on McCowan though. That's why Cameron was never mentioned until this year after McCowan had left.

The huns will move for free domestic talent because that's all they can afford. We should be getting in top Scottish talent in like Miller and Watson ASAP.

Mark Guidi has weighed in on the mounting speculation surrounding Motherwell’s young sensation, Lennon Miller, predicting a January move to Celtic for the highly-rated midfielder.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Guidi detailed the significant interest in the 18-year-old from top clubs across Europe, but believes Celtic are best positioned to secure his signature.

Miller has been a standout performer in the Scottish Premiership, and with just 18 months remaining on his contract, Motherwell face a pivotal decision. Guidi suggests that a fee of £3-3.5 million, with potential add-ons, would represent a strong deal for the Steelmen while fitting comfortably within Celtic’s transfer strategy.

“I’m sure there is interest from Italy because they do their homework; they now scour this market, Mark Guidi told Go Radio.

“I know 100% there’s interest from Germany and Spain and obviously down south.

“I’ve no doubt that Celtic and Rangers will have registered an interest, I’ve no doubt about that. I’ve got a feeling he will end up at Celtic; I think he’s definitely going to go in January, and I think he’ll be sold in January because for Motherwell, he’s hot, and he might get hotter, but you need to be careful you don’t run the risk with 18 months on his deal.

If they’ve got a concrete guaranteed £3 million-£3.5 million with the potential for a couple of million in add-ons here and there, Motherwell have got to take that. They’ve got to; Celtic can afford that kind of fee all day long. For me, longer-term, getting someone like Lennon Miller the way he looks just now, I think £3 million to £3.5 million with add-ons would be a bargain.

Right now if you’re asking me, I said it on Thursday night, he’s going to have four or five really good options in January, I think he’ll end up at Celtic.”

If a January move materialises, the teenager would join an already impressive group of players making their mark under Brendan Rodgers.

However, Celtic’s midfield is already stacked. Summer signing Luke McCowan is struggling for minutes despite impressing since his arrival. Reo Hatate and Arne Engels seem to have the position locked down at the moment, with McGregor sitting behind them.

It could be an option for Celtic to sign the player and then loan him out so that he can continue his development and growth while still playing consistent minutes at a high level.

It will be interesting to see what Celtic do in regards to their interest in January

I hope to * January us going for him is stealing a lead on any interest watching him from Italy.

Because looking objectively between a move to us with the most fluid, flying midfield we’ve had competitive at the highest level in the CL or moving to Serie A to maybe a team without that competition in midfield playing week in and out in a top league, and a very good league that teaches fundamentals of the game that’s shown already a move there improved players coming from Scotland with Hickey and Ferguson.

If I was Miller looking at the big picture of getting the most out his career, Serie A is an option that blows us out of the water. Because signing him isn’t for here and now, it’s with an eye on the future and probably preparing to lose Hatate in the summer

He would find it hard to get much game time here with Reo, Engels, Cal, Bernardo and McCowan ahead of him.. but at 18 moving to Italy could be a lot to ask of him, especially when your boyhood team is after you.

Aye that’s a consideration but the most recent examples for that league with Ferguson and Hickey, even Doig, further back Liam Henderson forging a decent career in Italy… it’s all success stories.

Whereas he can look at the last big thing at his club with Turnbull, and how he got on here in a much easier team to break into. And the reaction he got when he actually did. I think Miller could be a star here but if you’re advising him to go somewhere and it’s between a potential first team player in Italy’s top league or to our bench with a view of being able to come in as a first team player at some underdetermined point of time if he can stake a claim without a lot of gametime, Celtic fan bias aside, where would you confidently think is less a gamble for him achieving his full potential? I want him here, and think he will make a success of it but if it’s between the two objectively, we’re leaning on boyhood club and him wanting to stay near family.

18 is still very young. Tbh I’m not totally convinced by Engles just yet but I’m definitely giving him time as he’s also still young I suspect we might lose reo but with regards to miller a couple of years learning from calmac and being managed and developed by Rodgers would be amazing for him. Playing at a massive club winning trophies and competing in the CL. A Scotland call up would not be far behind when you look at the likes of Ben Doak. A few years with us and he’ll be some player

With the talk of this gaining more traction I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hatate go in January maybe. It’s been spoke of for the past year but just never developed more. Maybe Rodgers thinks miller can directly take his spot and also feels he can do without Reo

Tbf Liverpool haven't done fantastic with Scottish talent recently.

I know Robertson has obviously done well but Doak looks like he'll be sold in the near future and Ramsey is fading into obscurity.

Doak might not play for Liverpool but his career has taken off by going there. Got PL2 experience and a good loan.

Lyall Cameron though, okay so basically another cheap no mark. Their board must love this, fans wanting cheap dross who will convince the fans he's good.

Aye, but he could've been a regular for us in the Champions League if he had stayed.

I wouldn't say his career has taken off. Turning out for Middlesbrough is nothing. It's yet to be seen if he'll have a good career or not. He probably will but would it be worse if he had stayed here? I doubt it.
