Would hardly say he DWARFS any other Celtic manager in England. Probably the most noteworthy, aye - but he's on par with O'Neill for trophies won (pretty sure the League cup with Leicester).

Martin O'Neill took us to our first CL group stage.
Also took us to our 3rd ever cup final in Europe.
Ended the stronghold of a financially-doped Rangers.

Strachan won the majority of leagues he challenged for after stripping the team of O'Neill's charges, and got us back to back last 16 champions league qualifications.

No disrespect to Rodgers whatsoever, but he's dominated against far inferior Sevco teams than that which O'Neill and Strachan came up against. On course to take us to the next stage of CL this season, so for me that already automatically moves him to at least 3rd from the names mentioned previously.

Don't know what meeting you're talking about tbh..

And honestly can't understand why anyone would hold any animosity towards Ange.. totally turned the club around from one of our lowest moments in recent history..

Delivered a double then a treble and left a much stronger squad.

It's done and that's football and the way Rodgers left isn't comparable ..

Did Desmond & his boy not meet with Ange to offer a longer contract. The same as we did with Rodgers the first time round as were happy with the progress.

I was raging when Rodgers left but it was more to do with the timing & how it was done rather than him leaving. I'm with you & cant understand why anybody has anything against Ange. I know he had meetings with Spurs but made sure he seen the season out before leaving. We only get between 2-3 years from players & managers that come here & do well which is they way it will always be with the Premiership so close.

Just for the record i don’t hold any animosity towards ange would never begrudge him his move just he went about it the wrong way …… theirs an actual picture of the meeting I’m talking about btw where ange and his agent met desmond and his son to mark out plans for the new season and to discuss new contract to tie him down gentleman’s agreement was met then the agent went awol

We all know this to be true …… Desmond and lawells faces at end of the cup final told us all we needed to know

    Who gives a * :56::56::56::56:

He took a far better financial offer to manage Spurs ffs, and done so AFTER the treble was won.

You know the same as I do which is next to * all about what he done behind the scenes prior to accepting another job offer. So shoosh.

He made them wait until he did as well. He could have left us in the lurch 6/7 weeks earlier when they first wanted him. He seen his job out and left us in a far better place than when he joined. We loved his mentality and ambition here, he demanded top level off those around him. He repeatedly said don’t get overattached and the way football was, him leaving for the top level, to a club with money and ambition, perennial under achievers with potential… we can’t be resentful for that. It’s a part of his character we loved for us

    Unbelievable performance this..

The kinda result that'll deffo keep them at bay for ages. Battering City 4 nil at the Ethihad..

You never see anyone schooling them like they have today..

Don't like Spurs fans one bit but despise City. Hilarious watching how they've folded post Rodri..
