Just interested in what what could potentially be the celtic match up of the modern era. Who would win between the invisibles or the current squad? The only players I would have in the current team is rogic and possibly Sinclair on his crazy run. I personally don't think there's much between the two.

Current Squad wouldn’t be able to see them so the invisibles would win :67:

Basing it on who would get in to which team. I think only 4 of the invincibles make current starting 11.

    Tierney for Taylor
Rogic for Engels (at the moment anyway)
    Sinclair for Maeda
    Dembele for Kyogo

So id go with current team just

We currently have a better backline, despite Tierney. I think our centre backs during the invincible season were pretty guff to be honest. AJ is better than Lustig, but that's not a knock. Attacking wise that team was brilliant though and I think it would be tough to call a winner.

    I’d have Maeda over Sinclair.

Grand old team to play for
Prime Brooney would get in our midfield.

If I was to combine the two teams.

    Schmeichel
    Johnston CCV Scales Tierney
    Brown
    McGregor Rogic
    Kuhn Dembele Sinclair
For clarity, I'd take current McGregor over McGregor at that time/Armstrong. I can see the argument for Maeda over Sinclair but Sinclair during the invincible ceiling was an excellent player, only behind Jota for me and slightly ahead of Kuhn currently.

Was a tough choice between Kuhn and Forrest but Kuhn has already matched Forrest's stats for that season and we're not even half-way in. Prime Forrest would get in the team for me but if we're basing it off that season solely, Kuhn gets in.

    Ahead of McGregor?

I know the 2 played together for years but in this current team McGregor is playing the role Brown did.

Id have McGregor over brown every day of the week

Sinclair scored 25 goals that season. He was sensational

If we played like we played against Leipzeg we'd comfortably beat the invincibiles. That's the best football I've ever seen Celtic play (Too young to really remember the O'Neill era).

I think front 3 as a unit better during invincibles, even if it was only 1 season of peak Sinclair - what a season.
Dembele was truly top drawer, haven't bettered him since.
I might argue Kuhn for Roberts - incredibly similar and equally high quality.

    GK - Kasper
Centre halves - both better today - Trusty and CCV
RB - Lustig at best slightly better than AJ
    LB - KT easily.

Midfield - Broon, younger McGregor and Hattate would be some trio.

So I'd take the invincibles to shade it, just.

No doubt he was class for us, but I’d rather have Maeda in my team if we are taking every game into consideration.

Johnston is better than Lustig in my opinion, and I loved Lustig.

I think the invincibles are a better team and over a season would come up tops.
But I think our current team would beat them in a one off game, they're better set up to play against quality sides. And I'm not sure the invincibles back five could deal with our pressing
