Trusty was 100% a Rodgers target and signing so just a matter of time before he took the starting spot. I say it was like the Ralston/Juranovic situation in that Ralston was playing his best ever football but we all knew eventually Juranovic was going to be the man.

Scales will still get games tho as we play so many and injuries and suspensions happen. He will probably start on Sunday as away to Killie and won't risk CCV.

This is why we should never listen to English football fans on their clubs forums.. "not good enough for the championship" "Celtic and Scottish football is his level"

    * strolling the Champions league with slippers and cigar ya dafties:rofl:

Having 3 centre halves that can play at the same standard or level is a great thing to have..

That one pass he made last night into midfield where we lost the ball and they got a corner and then ended up scoring from the 2nd corner is the only time I remember him misplacing a pass in the 7/8 games he's played so far.

Being American and even playing for Sheffield Utd and mostly at left back for them I thought he'd have been a big athletic robotic player who was strong and mediocre or * on the ball.

But he's actually a tidy smart footballer and more of calm intelligent defender.

Think he just suits us like big Sutton and to a degree Ramon Vega. All 3 with big question marks over them in England and done great with us

In fairness to Big Sutton he had one bad season with Chelsea, the rest of the time he ripped it up down there

This will sound harsh af on Scales, who has stepped up brilliantly since coming back in to the side, but he looks on a different level if that performance is anything to go on.

That one time be did lose out in the 68th minute of that clip, his recovery is excellent. His passing is crisp, he's quick, strong and his reading of the game looked great as well.
