I must admit, I was really sceptical about the new Champions League format when it was first announced and thought it was a bit of a money grab with more games that would benifit the bigger teams.

But I was so wrong. This new format is amazing.

We currently sit above Madrid and Milan having played the same number of games.

Benfica and Bayern are bellow us on 3 games but they play each other tonight.

We have the perfect manager at the perfect time to have a real good run here.

What a * time to be a Celtic fan. Last night was phenomenal.

Initial reactions were to reject it outright as ridiculous, but in fairness it has actually created a setup that's so fluid it undoes all of the rigged structure that had been built up over decades of mismanagement. They still massively favour the "big clubs" but it creates an environment of POSSIBILITY for the medium sized clubs too, and a slim HOPE for the smaller ones...

Might actually be the singularly most innovative decision I remember in football, since shifting to 3 point wins... Time will tell if it works out, but it's definitely far more interesting, and didn't immediately go down in flames as was suggested

The fact you play a different team every game is so much more interesting. Then playing teams from every pot including your own means big boys have to face each other at this stage as well. You are keeping an eye on every game because it means something to us. Best thing that’s happened in football for a long time actually.

Hopefully they keep winning too, that game could very likely be a dead rubber for them sandwiched in between two prem games.

Not even a point thinking about standings just now. Far too many variables involved. Keep winning and we're in very good place.

I mean it makes good financial business sense, we've made more money in 3 games than winning a league campaign....i mean let that sink in....but as we don't qualify automatically next season I believe they'll definitely hold off investing to accumulate at the moment sadly.

Nah I think they will this time or they'd lose more engals type signing to the tax man. We've made way to much not to spend.

Brugge look decent so far against Villa. Should be 1 up.

Tzolis the ex Norwich player been the danger man two games I've seen them. Similar style to us, full backs up high etc.

This won't be an easy game. Granted they're at home here..

Left sided CB Mechele turns like a boat though. I'd be targeting that side.
