Got the assist for our second as well as being very good. Too many fannies were desperate for him to fail when they saw the line up. Get it right * up them.

    He’s so important I think.

He has a ceiling but I think he knows it and Rodgers does. There’s no flashy play and he plays to his strengths. Again tonight very good, you get that from him more often than not.

    People just love a scapegoat.

For me he was going back far too much before our first..

Was too negative and the crowd were venting. Some sloppy passes as well..

Was excellent at the first though and came in to it after..

Wasn't desperate for him to fail but personally was surprised Valle was dropped for a not-match-fit Taylor. He was very poor until that moment you mentioned but credit to Rodgers for making the right rotations and subs tonight.

Buzzing for the wee man. Takes far too much abuse for me and is a very important played. Great performance and well deserved.

Very good game. His game intelligence is excellent, knows when it’s on and when it’s not. Maeda never had his best game but Taylor didn’t let it efffect him.

Nah mate. He wasn't very poor at any point tonight. Held on to the ball well throughout the first half and got forward as well. Can't remember him giving the ball away in that half as well. Thought he was excellent tonight.

All about opinions. For me he was too safe in possession and didn't take any risks (some would argue that's a positive tbf) but all's well that ends well mate.

Against that level of opposition keeping possession is key imo. Wasn't having a go mate, just thought he was excellent. Great result.

I like the bhoy Valle and have never been keen on GT at this level but every man in hoops gave their all tonight and that's all that matters :shamrock:

Agree with this. He gets stick for passing it back too much but when there's a forward pass on he plays it - we've seen him play great forward passes loads of times. But when it's not on he makes sure we retain possession.

Fine with his use of the ball tonight and generally his decision making. The only thing is his physicality and speed which he cant fix. A decent shift though.

Finished the match strong before he came off but the backpassing first half was annoying

I chickened out of watching the game in real time. I just finished watching the game back (big thanks to @Callum McGregor). You always notice so much more like that (I don't know about you, but when I watch in real time, I tend to just watch the ball). I can confirm that he was outstanding, mate. I say that as someone who doesn't like him in the CL.

He was great, I'd start him at the weekend on Killie's pitch.
