I think he'll have eyes on moving oversees and believe Rodgers would need to do a very good job to convince him Celtic is where his future lies. In years gone by the next step on the career ladder for these young guys would be to us or them but the trend is now that most are looking past us and instead going overseas or down South. Even our own top prospects don't see a future with us.

For me we should sign him but be selling him on coming in to play. He has all the tools to kick on but we need to be treating him like signing a Bernardo, Engels or O’Riley. Come here play regularly, get experience of playing in a ball dominant team, get European experience and we will sell you on to the EPL as a first team ready player not an academy project.

It’s the same with Motherwell offer them a decent deal. Break the £3m transfer record guaranteed with add ons to make it sweeter and a decent sell on %.

For me he is a no brainer that we need to try get in. As others have said Holm can go in January, Hatate likely away next summer and we play so many games he would get minutes. It would be great for our Euro squads too.

I agree with the sentiment to buy him in January. Maybe send Holm over there on loan to the summer, maybe even Yang too and that should sweeten the deal

He’s the Hatate replacement. Not a fan of the whole “buy him and loan him back to Motherwell for a season” as he’s clearly above that level, but we should be buying him in Jan and letting him stay there until the end of the season, or slowly integrate him into the team with the goal of taking over when Hatate leaves in Summer.

That would be a good idea, get Holm much needed SPL game time, may just be the making of him.
I guess if Miller was to come in at the Jan window, he would be 6th choice. But with games coming thick and fast, he would see some gametime.

I don't think he'd agree to go back to Motherwell, he'll want a transfer that moves him up a level. I think he will end up in Italy or Germany myself and probably so alright.

Not really sure why he isn't in the Scotland team but McLean and Barron are.

    Aye I agree.

I'd reckon £6m tbh. And they're within their rights to ask for it.

Morgan came in from the Scottish championship. I also don't think Turnbull was a failure, he got plenty of games, goals, trophies and caps. Injuries have * Turnbull, the injury in the league cup final was him done. I don't think the club did anything wrong.

He's worth it as well, absolutely incredible talent, the way I see it, he'd walk into the huns midfield currently, which isn't saying much on paper but still.

Problem is he's not currently better than McGregor, Hatate, Engels, Bernardo or even McCowan, and I only really see Hatate leaving next summer, so unless he was willing to go out on loan for 18 months (say we get him in January) I don't know how we could fit him in.

Still, I'd 100% be bringing him in regardless if he was keen.

Not to take anything away from McCowan, I think he's played quite well since he's joined and will prove a few people wrong.

But that arrogance among our support that turned their noses up at McCowan will be saying that Luke is a better player than Miller just cause he's had a few games with us and not looked out of place.

But this boy is a kid, and he already won't look out of place in this team. This has McGinn written across it if he goes down south.

I honestly believe Miller will have a superior career to McGinn, his talent is there to see.

He’d start for us right now I think, we don’t really have someone like him since O’Riley has left. Engels and Bernardo are good but not super creative, and Hatate is well, his usual streaky self.

He had spl experience with st mirren and after we signed him we loaned him back and he went on to win promotion out of the championship with them.
Regardless of what level he came from, he was regarded as one of the most exciting scottish talents at that time.

Whilst i agree that injuries did hamper Turnbull, even when he was fit, he didnt sustain anything really serious.

Whatever happens we wont have a free run at him and we wont be able to low ball out way to getting a bid accepted. As John Mcginn taught us, we cant just rely on the pull that he might be a celtic fan.

Morgan wasn’t really. He was more interesting because he was majorly two footed, and we were interested in him for 6 months before signing him.

He wasn’t viewed as the next big thing, he wasn’t even viewed like a Christie was when we signed him.

Don’t get why guys should be compared like we are the now, we’re comparing hype on players. Just watch a player - and watching Lennon Miller, he’s maybe the most exciting talent I’ve seen in a Scottish Player in our league. Scott Brown or McCarthy was the last ones watching them learning the game where I’ve thought just sheer quality. More than McGinn, more than Lewis Ferguson. Both impressed me, I wanted both. But Miller is special, just watch the boy play, regardless of the role he’s in. He’s shown quality as the 6, box to box or further forward. Turnbull had long shots and a knack of scoring, but Miller is a * player. We better not let him slip by

I hope we sign him and he has a Calmac like career. Most of the world would argue McGinn’s over calmac’s, all of us would point out Calmac’s and what he’s done, McGinn being a tim probably included there.

Miller could thrive in a stronger league. But he could also be key for us and thrive and be a hero here. He’s also young enough he could thrive here for 5 year, leave, and still be a younger player at 23/24 when he does.

i’m just * certain he’s a talent we can’t let go by us. We have a * arrogance about players in our own league, and then we sign someone like McCowan, love him, but don’t realise maybe theres * talent right infront of us.

I can remember screaming for Lewis Ferguson, his family or not, and the general opinion was he was average not good enough wouldn’t play. Since went to Serie A, won an award for best midfielder in the league as well, was nailed on for Juve this summer but * his ligaments. Our fans, and funnier the Hun fans, called him average and a hammer thrower. * routinely put both teams to the sword. We need to wise up to talent in our league, we go mental when our players are viewed as worse due to the league from * down south. But we do the exact same thing.

"We need to wise up to talent in our league". Spot on. How is this even still a thing?!

There is a very VERY long list of players that have been signed from SPFL teams the last 2 decades who have performed brilliantly. Just look at the invincible team. Stacked with SPFL signings. All the teams that got to the last 16 were riddled with SPFL players. Even the Seville team had a handful.

The Luke McCowan transfer came out of left field. Hopefully that is a sign of intent from Rodgers.

Yep. Him and Watson from Killie would be excellent additions. There are others who would at least do a job in the squad too.

I hope Miller plays a blinder against them today, and we sign him for £4M in January.
