I think the 2-2 game might have been a blessing in disguise, we certainly won't underestimate the sheep, no complacency.

I think Rodgers will have the team up for this. Aberdeen are getting a lot of attention and I don’t think he likes the fact we are not getting the credit he thinks he or our team deserves. He said after the 2-2 we should have won the game and he was right, he made the point of saying they have made a great start but quickly moved on to talk up us.

His team talk is pretty much written for him they are getting all the plaudits the now go out and show why we are the team to beat. We let them off the hook last time let’s not do that again.

The first game we played them should have been comfortable but we didn’t take our chances switched off for their first goal and then shot ourselves in the foot for the second. Then done everything bar score. Let’s put that right.

Not a soul can say that with any certainty with regards our midfield just now.

Cal is a guarantee when fit, the other 2 positions are up for grabs.

I think that’s why he was rested last night, with the view to starting him on Saturday. Same as Johnston, Valle, Maeda & Scales.

Our best result of the season, Atalanta saw Rodgers preferred 3 and we'll probably see that three start in most big games..

Well, at least as it stands just now. The competition for places in the midfield is an excellent dilemma to have. And any dip from anyone and Bernardo and McCowan will make it very difficult to leave out of the side. Engels included.

And Kuhn too, hopefully no injury with him.

With McCowam cup tied, only call for me is 2 from Reo, Bernardo and Engles.

Scales has done nothing wrong but CCV is back and Trusty is going to edge Scales out at some point. Maeda has been well off it for weeks. Competition in the squad is needed or it goes stale if players know they are playing every week regardless of forum.

I disagree, I don’t think Hatate is in his preferred 3. If he even has such a thing.

I'd play Scales at LB and stick with CCV, Trusty and AJ. Big Scales looked very comfortable when he was moved there against motherwell

They're due a loss tbh. I don't think it'll be a hammering if we win though.

Could have been a hammering from us last time if we weren't so wasteful. Any early chances we need to * take them, changes their whole set up. They'll be massively up for it so need to meet their aggression, * like Shinnie will be trying to leave one in right from the go. Bottom line is we're a much better team, play to our strengths and finish the simple chances and we dispatch them.

I’m torn on Scales or Trusty, but would go for:

    Schmeichel
    AJ CCV Trusty Valle
    McGregor
    Engels Hatate
    Kuhn Kyogo Maeda

Would go the same for Leipzig too but probably swap a midfielder for Bernardo. A lot of big games and going to need some rotation.

The way we rested key players vs Dundee, and we are getting better again since Dortmund. We underestimated Aberdeen in the 2-2 game. We will come out on fire i think

I think this will be the team. But I would start Scales, still feel its his position to lose, although Trusty is pushing for a start. But whoever starts also starts in europe midweek so its a big call.

Barnardo and Idah will see game time and potentially start in champions league.

If Taylor weren't to start either the next two games it wouldn't surprise me he will leave when his contract is up at the end of the season. A big week with him.
