Looks a talent for sure. And just the type of talent BR could develop.
The longer we leave it, the more they will jack up price.
Pay the money in Jan and bring him in, let BR work with him and he should see a bit of game time off the bench.
Need to get him away fae them hammer throwers so * this loaning him back

Would love us to sign him.

The fact that McCowan started for us will probably give him confidence that he would get game time here aswell. Can imagine it being a difficult choice going from being a star at your current club to being a bench warmer elsewhere.

Definitely got a lot about him. I’d be going in for him in January. We need to be looking for young homegrown players for the future in my opinion, as the likes of Forrest and McGregor aren’t going to be around forever. McCowan was a cleaver signing, Miller would be as well.

I've always felt he's a must sign but I don't think he will end up here.

They'll want more than they got for Turnbull and I reckon it'd break Brown's record to us of £4.4m or whatever, too.

Can imagine interest abroad being high too. Rodgers did name drop him directly in his interview with the BBC praising his talent but its obvious that we'd be interested.

Haven't really been keeping tabs on him apart from goal contribution which before this season where poor.
Must have a change of position as he's been involved in a few so far this season?.

Genuinely think Motherwell will be seeking a fee similar to what Aberdeen got for Miovski and they're probably valid in that.

18 years old, bags of talent, 50+ first team appearances under his belt already.

Don’t agree with that. You see yesterday, he’s literally Motherwells main man and go to for free kicks, penalties, corners. Or even just giving him the ball to shoot, take players on etc. at 18!! If he’s loaned back to Motherwell he’ll continue to be that. If he comes here to play off the bench I don’t think that’ll appeal to him.

we definitely need to sign him and if he costs £6m then so be it. He’s the best youngster I’ve seen in Scotland for a very very long time

Think goals wise it needs to be remembered he was 17 years old for most of last season tbf.

I think I've been guilty of this in the past with players like Hickey and Ferguson of judging them far too early. In general I think as a nation we are bad with that.

He's the best player they have and the centre of their side at that age which is impressive enough.

I really want us to sign him however is there some weird McGinn effect here where by signing him, how does he fit in to the 11 as game time is likely to be heavily restricted.

Could we look at signing him and let him stay at Motherwell for 2 years and develop?

Wouldn't necessarily need to be Motherwell, we could sign him in the summer and loan him to Aberdeen for the season.

I feel like he definitely wouldn't get a game for us or be that useful so would probably need another 2 seasons out on loan after this season. As of now he isn't really slick and nimble enough on the ball to play in the advanced midfield positions and doesn't have the experience or natural defensive capabilities or engine and legs to play deeper so he'd never really get used.

We have plenty CMs on our books at the moment but I can see Hatate attracting interest in the summer & you'd imagine Engels has been sold on the 2 year development cycle before a big sale.

When we need homegrown players to make quotas we need to be getting the best ones in. Forrest isn't going to be round forever and our others are non-starters.

As for loaning him back for 2 seasons I can't see it. He's already sticking out like a sore thumb for them there, if we're paying £6-7m (and we'd likely have to) then the board would be expecting him to be able to immediately make an impact.

Don't think he would he would even need loaned out. This full season this year and chances are we move a few in the summer. Think he could step up and do a job

Buy him in January and leave him at Motherwell until the summer, then can assess whether he's ready for the step up or needs another season on loan.

He's basically a child. And such a talent.

We'd be crazy not to explore it.

I honestly think 4.5m in January and a loan back to Well for the remainder of the season would see it done.

Is it just me or does Lennon Miller not look a little bit like Anthony Stokes! Hopefully the young lad has his head much more screwed on as there is no question he has a lot of potential. Would certainly be happy to see us make a bid for him in January.

I think there will be Italian clubs all over him due to the recent successes of Scottish players over there.
I think we will need convince both him and his family that he will get the opportunities due to the relative failures of players like Turnbull and Morgan.
Whatever happens Motherwell will most likely get their biggest ever fee for him.
