That’s a weird one, probably technically right, there would be thousands of strikers on our books through the years and he probably fits comfortably within top 50 at least. So aye, probably right

We got shot of him before we had to exercise our obligation clause to sign him permanently, because he was * pish.

The guy was a scapegoat no doubt about it getting given 1 game. It was as if he was single handedly the problem v Clyde.

Excellent personality, technically good & there would have been added commercial benefit for the club opening up to China - could have tariffed the * out of Celtic shirts

Du Wei being a scapegoat may just be the worst opinion in the history of the forum, not just this thread.

Lazy I’d go with. He was far from lethargic, when he could be bothered.

Both absolute * and scapegoat is true. Clyde * pumped us and they had 2 perfectly fine goals chopped off if I remember them right, if not outright bad decisions not being gave leniant on us. And that was the full team. We weren’t much better 2nd half after he got hooked either.

He was beyond pish, but the players had and still have him being pish to hide behind - you see it in interviews from guys playing that day - Roy Keanes debut, Du Wei worst player ever and they destroyed him. They destroyed us not just Du Wei. But he was still * pish.

    Mate, stop talking complete bollox.

He was never blamed SOLELY for the defeat. I know, cause I was there. And still * remember it to this day.

He never played again because we sent him back without having to purchase his contact permanently because he was utter pish, completely powderpuff and totally unsuited to the physicality of the Scottish game - as referenced by being bullied, outmuscled and completely destroyed by Scottish minnows.

Reading comprehension needs scrubbed up on from a few as well, can mistake one comparison of a certain part of a performance getting compared to another and think it’s everything about them :fear:

@Mr. Slippyfist something interesting for me in these convos though, is I know how much you rated Ledley and thought he was a cracking player, and hate the zonal defending of areas rather than players way, and Ledley is probably the best at that sorta defending I’ve seen for us.

But he was also * solid and go through a * so there’s that :56:

I dont hate the zonal covering, I just hate Engels and Hatate doing at best the bare minimum in those areas.

What I wouldnt do to have a midfielder back in for us at close to 6ft or more, with some hair on their * and a set of baws to go through a *....

I reckon there’s not a single hair on Wanyama when he was here outwith his napper:56:

Smooth baby faced tank. I agree about would love to have somecunt like that. * not even a big *, Lenny and Lambert two of the best I’ve seen for us at that.

A Scott Brown at his peak again as well. They two and pretty much all our midfield aren’t natural at thinking defensively. Might be why I’m so happy with that the other night.

I like a smarmy wee reply but :56:

Clyde deserved their win but Du Wei wasn’t solely blamed for the defeat. But he was by far the worst player I’ve ever seen don the hoops, it’s like they plucked an * from the crowd.
