He's good.. stroke. Big one. Fairly sure there's no pain, just severe cognitive dysfunction.
Just got to make sure he gets spoilt as he goes. Loads of contact etc..

Hurts like * though, 21 years he's been my pal.

Sure I saw Kuhn is the fastest in the squad somewhere. Not sure over what distance.

Probably saw it on here, or heard it in commentary so possibly not the most reliable.

Kuhn’s the fastest player in the squad in training. I know he’s shown flashes of it but I’d say last night was the first time he’s slaughtered a full back over a 50 yard run.

Probably because he hasn’t got 50 yards to run into domestically TBH.

Ok, being a bit more precise on 'not fast Maeda'.
    • Maeda is not fast enough to run past most defenders with the ball at his feet and definitely not from from a standing start.
    • He is nowhere near 'very fast' in European terms and is out sprinted or at least matched almost every time by defenders in a straight foot race.
    • He can run at his own maximum pace for a whole game, which is truly impressive.
    • He looks quick when running into clear open space behind old men like Tavernier.
    • He has above average speed for the SPL but lacks the confidence or ability to take advantage of the pace and high energy he does have.
Lastly, the whole 'Daizen is one the best closing players in world football' from Brendan is a frankly ludicrous statement if you watch him and how others press far more effectively in Europe.

Daizen is one of the best pressing footballers in world football, if you watch him and you watch even some European football that is startlingly apparent.

What you appear to be conflating is the fact a brighter torch is shone on his inconsistencies as a footballer as opposed to the fact he’s slow. Tripping over the ball or struggling to keep it under close control at speed doesn’t mean he isn’t fast.

    Maeda drives me nuts

His crossing is atrocious, decision making most of the time is baffling and his finishing is appalling (yet he scores the odd worldly).

Yet he slogs his guts out and I love him for that.

    He just drives me crazy

Hatate is Ntcham without the attitude problem.

a large portion of Celtic fans are too quick to jump on players backs rather than support them - that's not to say they can't be criticised - but it's always OTT and fickle as if they're just waiting to slag off a player before a mistake is even made.

Aye Maeda isn’t super quick. He’s just fast and runs around a lot at a solid pace. Some engine but in terms of sprint speed he’s not a standout in terms of top pros.

McGregor can’t cut it in the CL. Dunno if that’s that unpopular anymore though.

Both technically gifted players, but they have very different physical profiles. Hatate is undersized and mobile. Ntcham is considerably taller and rather lethargic. I believe Porto had offered north of 10m for Ntcham in his early days at Celtic. Should have punted him when we had the chance. He ended up walking for nothing once his deal expired.

Other thing with Kuhn is he is still good at keeping up that speed whilst dribbling.

    Unreal talent to have.

Strange one after his best performance for us in CL for ages. Was the one that took the ball under pressure and kept calm and picked the right pass, particularly first half.

Du Wei was a scapegoat and nowhere near as bad some folk make out. Came with excellent pedigree and shocking he didn’t get any more minutes.
