It's not even the Dortmund result, it's the knowledge that BR won't change it for this game..

We just need to hope that that identity he's building is enough to get us points in the winnable games.

Realistically I think most of us had wrote off the Dortmund and Atalanta games, but the 3-0 win over the Huns gave us a glimmer of hope for the Dortmund game, but it was not to be. We have three points on the board already with that good win over Bratislava, the main thing is to not concede too many goals, in case it comes down to the head to heads.
We are still in a good position, if we keep our heads.

Surely that's all kidology and he has to change it :fear:

That looks like their whole back like is out. Sit compact with the midfield closer to the defence that we were in Dortmund. No players in-between the lines unmarked..

Do that and counter with pace against a weaker defence than their usual and one that probably won't be as naturally in tune with each other..

Be some lift if we could pick something up away from home..

I've only seen them in Europe and they do look deadly, but there's always hope.

Not as much as a 3-0 skudding right enough.

3-0 would be a step in the right direction at least.

We will get pumped....Rodgers already stating we are going for it....Atalanta know the game plan.

Unless we find some middle ground in this team away in Europe we are onto another hiding

    I respect your opinion.

I haven't been to Celtic Park since the 2001/2 season; but FWIW, I watched the game back a couple of times and it just seemed obvious that Real were using a rope-a-dope strategy. We were putting an unbelievable amount of effort into the game with the backing of the crowd and they were holding a few gears back in reserve (if we had scored, I think we'd have seen that). I think they knew there was no way we (or the crowd for that matter) could keep that up for 90 minutes and when we tired, after an hour, they just picked us off without really ever having to go up through the gears.

That's honestly what I saw. However, I acknowledge that you do see more when you're at the game. So I'm aware that you will have noticed things you can't see on a stream or video. It's my genuine opinion that they won comfortably, but I've been wrong enough times in the past to respect yours.

To be clear I'm not claiming to not be a dope. Need to be strong rope though.

A familiar face from a night to forget for Celtic will be holding the whistle for this game.

Bosnian referee Irfan Peljto has only once previously officiated the Bhoys, but that night was the 2-0 loss to Feyenoord in Rotterdam, in last season's Champions League Group Stage. Not only did Celtic lose the game, but we were shown 2 red cards and conceded a penalty also.
