I’m slabbering about him missing 4 out of 6 champions league games last season, 1 this season plus today and however much other games he’s missed in that time. He’s our best centre half by a mile but has been injured a lot considering. But aye I’m “slabbering”

It's a reasonable point, not sure why you had a seizure about it instead of just responding with your views. Rodgers interview today cast doubt on him being available for the next league game never mind midweek.

My personal view is his injury record is worth living with but we need to manage it carefully.

Put your cape back in the wardrobe, hero!

There's pointing out Vickers' injuries - which btw, other than one that required knee SURGERY, and this one, and I think a hamstring injury, the guy has been an ever present and is one of our most influential players for a reason - being part of defences which have won multiple titles and cups.

His "reliability" needs absolutely NO questioning.

The defence don’t need him, the entire team does.

The difference he makes to us as a whole is remarkable.

If you think he’s played enough games given he’s our best centre half, and arguably most important player then good for you.

For me, he’s our best and quite comfortably most important player and you’d want, and expect him to be available more often than not. For the past 2 and a half seasons he hasn’t been. It’s there in black and white in terms of the number of games he’s missed.

He's not an ever present and obviously has missed big games. We definitely miss him so I'd say his reliability is questionable.

I'll get back in my wardrobe now. Not taking the cape off though. Just in case.

It’s 100% worth living with, probably the only reason he’s here, but he’s missed too many important games for us in the past few seasons.

CCV would likely be away either last summer, or next if it wasn't for it. So a mixed blessing.

Given that the real thing to fix is the backup CB positions.

Aye without a doubt, but that’s of no consolation to us when we’re dropping daft points at home in the league or getting absolutely battered in Europe.

It’s a proper catch 22 situation because as you said if he barely missed a game he likely wouldn’t be here, but we can’t afford for him to miss as much games as he does.

He has missed far too many big games for us in his time here. Can’t believe anyone is actually debating that. Another one tomorrow as well I’d imagine.

    If he's out tomorrow it's *. Genuinely.

This Scales and Trusty partnership just isn't inspiring any confidence.

He’ll be badly missed if he doesn’t play tomorrow. We need his experience in there.

Unlikely he's going to play tomorrow, he wasn't even on the bench on Saturday. CCV has played fewer games each season hes been here, is he injury prone or unlucky? I hear people saying they don't want KT back because of various injuries, I'm not sure CCV is any more reliable

If he’s out tonight which i’d imagine will be the case, then that will be just under 50% of our champions league games that he’s missed so far, and thats when we need him most.

Not really a shock if true. Rodgers said as much pregame on Saturday. Don't expect him back on Sunday either as Rodgers was non-commital on that too.
