Need a performance after the last two * shows.

The sheep manager definitely has something about him.
He gets alot of plaudits for elfsbog, but the * he was able to pull off with jonkoppins was even more impressive imo.

His teams know their job, know how to grind out results, and know how frustrate better opposition.

We should stuff them, but theyre flying high on confidence, although haven't actually been properly "tested" as yet.
Which is why im slightly nervous; we need to just actually show up and play our game. Not this disjointed pish weve served up two games in a row.

It will be interesting to see how Aberdeen approach this game. Will they sit in and try and hit us on the counter or will they actually come and try and play. They have up to this point in the season been pretty attacking minded but we will see if they are willing to do that at our place. Either way when is the last time you have had a league game with both teams off to 7-0 starts. Massive game to return from the international break with. Hopefully CCV will be fully fit to return for this one as that would be a massive boost for sure.

The Sky deal only allows 5 home games to be shown on TV each season for each SPFL club. So typically for Celtic, we get flag day, 2 derbies, and the title winning game. Which leaves only one game and usually Sky will leave the choice to later in the season in case of a title race.

It's a terrible state of play when we aren't able to promote a top of the league clash on TV, but it's due to the rules agreed with the league rather than Sky not wanting to show it.

Equally daft is that Sky then end up with an excess of games they don't want so often don't even take up their full allocation of games.

I know we all hate these breaks but trying to spin a few positives, will be a good rest for the like of Alister J and hopefully, CCV will be fully recovered in 2 weeks time. Some time on the training ground will benefit some of the new Bohys.

Anyone got a list of who's away with their country?

As this is scheduled for 3pm Saturday, it is subject to the UK wide TV 'blackout', which has been in effect since the 1960's. So Sky are obliged to adhere to that.

The SPFL, who originally scheduled this game, has to carry the can here as they have massively done Scottish Football a misservice (the SPFL shooting itself in the foot... shocker!!!).

But it also highlights how little Sky as a business care about Scottish Football and it is treated as an afterthought, because games could be rescheduled at their discretion, but they have to give a minimum of notice (usually seems toi be at least a month, but I don't know what the minimum obligation on this is) if they want games moved in advance.

Considering both teams going into this game with 100% records, it's not like a couple of weeks ago that noone at Sky figured that this scenario was possible, but of course, they just don't care about Scottish Football, and this oversight is indicative of this. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised to learn if whoever is in charge of scheduling for Sky probably looked at last season's table a couple of months ago and up to this point, still working on what fixtures to cover based off of that.

So at the end of the day, it is the SPFL itself who is to blame for this f*ck up, as they really have no excuse for not realizing this scenario was possible weeks ago, and could've arranged for this fixture to be moved as it is box office for the Scottish game.

I have a feeling Aberdeen under Jimmy Thelin won't come to sit in, I think they will come to have a go, and will flood the midfield and try and hit us on the break.

    I would go

    Schmeichel
    Johnston CCV Scales Valle
    McGregor
    Kühn Bernado McCowan Maeda
    Idah
