I was * raging when he was down and we were chasing a winner, no because he was hurt.....but because he was down for so long and then when the physios had to come on he then was giving it the I'm all good/arms in the air gestures..

Was screaming at the telly :giggle1:

I definitely think he looks awkward playing as the right centre half. Would like to see him get a run on the left hand side.

Problem is both Trusty are Left footers , so Trusty got the short straw to play on right hand side . Need CCV back for Aberdeen and Atlanta.

Welcome to the party. I’ve been saying that in match threads since CCV was injured and he had to play there. It was also a complete stick on he’d get annihilated in the CL playing there. We don’t know if he is any good or not but can’t be judged playing RCB.

Don't think he had a massive amount today to do.

I do still think we've overpaid given his form and career so far. However I'm still gonna wait before firmly judging him and do believe he needs to be played left side. A number of games next to CCV would be interesting.

Don't disagree with this tbh, he was more than fine today but a lot of the comments in the last page were slating him.

For me, he'll be good enough domestically but it's Europe and the huns where we'll see if he can step up a level. I'd be willing to let him off for Dortmund as he was thrown in with 2 games of football prior.

Think it's obvious we needed another CB in the summer now, has to be a priority in the January window.

Why do we need a scapegoat? I'd be surprised if we don't at least equal last year in terms of trophies and I'd still hope we have a few more decent results in the CL.

    Said it at the time.

Welsh and Nawrocki aren't the answer. A 4th to challenge is a must, or really I'd go as far to say not even to challenge but blow the other 3 away. As hard as it may be we need to try for better than CCV too. When he first arrived most of us wouldn't have imagined how good he'd have been anyway. There's players out there.

He'll be like the vast majority of our squad. He will be well capable to deal with the domestic dross and so he should and incapable of dealing with top European players in Europe.. pretty much Celtic personified

He is being played out of position, so to speak, so therefore, should be cut some slack.
Also, when CCV returns, hard to see him getting a run at LCB, due to Scales form.

There was a 5 min spell second half yesterday where he played on the left side, looked awkward and unsure. I know that's his favoured side, so maybe just the game itself.

    I'm not sold on him.
Much like Valle, there is a player there, but I'm not seeing it as an instant "this is the guy we've been missing" like we did when we signed CCV or even Jota.

Got a County fan as a mate who said straight away yesterday, he looks like he's got a mistake in him. And he does.

Real judgement will come when he plays a couple games on his left side and with CCV to his right.
But I'm not confident he's gonna suddenly go from a player who looks like his about to * up, to a rolls Royce type player for us.

Specially the backline outside of 2 of the 9 we have.
Been the case for decades now.
It's never been a confident part of the the field.
For a club that likes to build from the back, it's quite something to be so bad at getting an acceptable quality of player for Europe for us.

For me January we should be targeting 3 players.

    - a right sided centre back
    - another centre midfielder who is capable of playing deeper
    - a left wing option who is creative and can beat a man.

Try move on Bernabei, Nawrocki, Holm and Palma. If we got the left winger I would loan out Yang as well at the end of the window.

He's being played out of position and is trying to settle in to a new team and new style of play. Those getting on his back don't have a clue.

A young, quick and dominant right sided centre half for when Carter-Vickers isn't available. It's a must..

    Vet Nawrocki out..

A beast of a midfielder who has an engine..

A winger 100% with pace, skill and creativity..

Would also add another striker option..

4 positions definitely and maybe even a left back depending on what happens with Taylor's contract and how Valle comes along..

Are really writing off Trusty after 365 minutes of football?

We've seen plenty of players come in and not look up to it, only to turn their careers around here.

I know it is looking more provable by the game but just look a Kuhn, people wouldn't have batted an eye seeing him sold after season.

Giakoumakis, Rogic, Mooy wasn't liked much I don't think when he signed and hadn't even kicked a ball. There is probably more players that can be named but still... 365 minutes is nowhere near enough to judge a player.

Maybe I have to watch his game more closely I guess but still think he needs far more time on the pitch before making judgements

He’s going to do a job for us domestically, I’ve said this already but I’m
Finding it funny that people are saying he’s being played out of position?

The big man isn’t a left mid he’s a centre half and should be able to play left or right side if that’s his position.

What has all the right footed players done over the years playing on the left side of centre half? It’s a poor excuse saying he’s out of position.

He will be fine domestically but will he come good in Europe? That’s to be seen.
