A lot of them are but some are quite clearly miles out their depth at this level..

He gets caught out of position. He barely ever makes a challenge. He can't get beyond. At tye top table He's shown up for being so small, weak and slow in a tournament that has strong athletes across the board..

It's just how it is. We need much better..

I think that's the main thing mate. Who was actually good enough at this level tonight? I really only think Scales comes away with pass marks and even he was turned over a few times.

We're just unable to compete with the best teams unfortunately.

I know the game was kinda done in the 2nd half but I thought Valle looked more equipped

I’d give Valle a run now. See if we can look to buy him if it goes well.

Taylor isn’t the answer. He’s good domestically but that doesn’t say much.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the team against better sides. How many times do we have to sit through Taylor being utterly exposed.

    It's mental.

He looked to be blowing out his * 10 mins in.

He's been a lot better of late but sadly another test at the top level and he's failed. Doesn't have any of the attributes required to be successful there.

Tonight? No one really. But I think the midfield and attack we had out today should be good enough to compete at this level, the defence still needs a minimum of 2 players significantly better than we already have. For large spells it looked tonight as if we weren't playing with a LB as Taylor was in the CB position. Having a fullback tuck in like that is all well and good if they have the pace to get out and close down when the ball is played over the top from the other wing. Taylor doesn't. And by compete I don't mean win, just make them actually have to work to break us down, that didn't happen today and the defence passing the ball to them was a big part of that.

Ah, * bollocks. I had forgotten about Villa... If they had won at the weekend, they would have been joint top of the Premiership. They are going to * raw dog us. Oh Jesus wept.

At this level (top CL team who reached the final last year) they're all out of their depth. No surprise there really.

Always, cruelly exposed at this level..

He should be a back up LB as he's more than capable domestically..

He always looks like he's blowing early on in big European games..

He just doesn't have the physicality, athleticism or engine. Unfortunately he never will..

Can't cover the ground at all or get across in time. He can't get beyond and if he does go forward and lose possession he never gets back in time. He's practically a sitting duck at the top table..

Quite often when he’s exposed at this level it’s due to a lack of pace, strength or just generally getting rinsed off a top drawer winger but tonight was different, he just shat himself and resorted to playing blind passes into the middle of our final third or aimless punts down the line which just gifted the ball back to them. He barely took the ball and was nowhere near the middle of the park where he tends to play his best stuff. I suspect Rodgers will have been looking for a justification to bench him and bring Valle in and tonight has provided it.

Would have been * himself against that Adayemi, even though in the end he never really got near him despite scoring a hat-trick.

Seemed rattled and panicky on the ball which isn't how he usually plays, gave it away for fun then running about daft trying to recover.

Aye, before the game I though Adeyemi might torture him or even Malen if he came off the bench, he usually gets done by pace and guys running in behind him which he just can't do anything about.

But this was his * collapsing on the ball, I don't even mind him even being tested one on one or dribbled at or much. There was the odd long ball to his side and a couple of guys there but it was his on the ball performances he made a * of.

Aye he completely shat himself when it went 3-1 and their tails were up and as soon as the ball was anywhere near him he was just desperate to get rid of it wherever he could. There was one in the first half he just played into into the middle of the park about 15 yards behind anyone in our final third. Then we wonder why good teams regularly scud us by 5/6/7.

Could’ve seen past it if Adeyemi had just torn him a new one because there really isn’t anything he can do about a top class winger being far quicker, stronger and better than him, but that tonight was a disgrace.

Midfield were nowhere tonight from the word go and left a lacklustre defender exposed more so. Didn't support the back or the front.
    Worst.
