Come on you Bhoys in Green
Tonight was a brutal reality check. The worst part for me we made Dortmund look like prime Barca they never trounce teams like that. Every goal was a blunder from us (even though some were great finishes). Only positive is we can't do any worse.

A lot of teams who play more defensively in bigger games though get much more practice at it, it's part of their usual game. They don't only do it 2/3 times a season.

A player can probably brush off a skelping off a better team thinking aye no wonder they done us they've got better players and we've not played against a team with that pace in 2 years etc

Rather than them being told, we need to defend better here we're going to change a few things andif we can scrape a draw that'll be great. Then the players go out and get beat 3-0 just trying not to lose.

It's all relative though, if a team who's top of the conference play Man City they are still gonna have to adjust their tactics to if they're playing bottom of their own league.

Getting beat 3-0 playing defensively is 100% better than getting beat off anyone 7-1 no matter how you play, that is a total scudding.

Peter Schmeichel wished he had just folllwed Man City now instead.

    It's not enjoyable anymore.

When is the last time any if us have enjoyed a European campaign?

My issue tonight is we created * all other than our goal. At least in the past you could say we missed * sitters.

    * all positives to take from that.

    I enjoyed 21/22, 19/20 and 12/13.

So three campaigns in 12 years, give or take a few moments here and there.

They were always going to be stronger team, but we were unlucky with a couple of deflections right at the start giving them 2 goals and momentum, I'm not saying we could have won but it certainly didn't help.
Our passing and decision making was feckless. Hopefully the team use this to motivate for a much more improved performance.

Ok, this is gonna sting... But...

We didn't get BEATEN 7-1, we got GIVEN 7-1... Because I've little to no doubt that they could've taken us for 10-12 if they'd actually gone for it...

A lot of self inflicted harm in that, but ultimately we got a wake up call to our TRUE level tonight... Deny what you like, but I'd rather suffer an honest appraisal...

There's YEARS of work to do, including TONNES of good luck, to get to where the top teams are...

But that DOESN'T mean we should give up or despair, because we're actually one of the very few teams who CAN turn this kind of situation around...

Be honest, reflect, assess, improve, repeat...
