The guy had the cheek to come out criticise everyone for saying we were playing poor football last season after pumping st Johnstone their … newsflash last season we were playing poor and he even admitted it that the start of season last year wasn’t as good just found it daft for him to go after anyone for saying something that was true

Absolute nonsense. Simple penalties in this day and age especially the second one ffs. Almost identical to the one we were given against Bratislava.

That's true mate but in fairness they still come up against better teams than them and play a style of football (that isn't pretty, admittedly) but are streetwise and pragmatic to just somehow get results.

We need to adopt a similar setup when we come up against these top sides and park our pride.

Well we didn't get tight to them that's for sure, but if you didnae see kyogo, maeda, and bernardo pressing high up the park in the first half and getting done with one pass through them leaving a mass of space behind then we were watching different games. Mental stuff.

I don't give two *, they out play us in the Europa league as well. They are a better outfit than us in Europe and that is a fact

Really hope the sheer scale of this defeat has an impact on Brendan's ego and makes him re-evaluate, but not confident him or the team are capable of doing so. Obviously lovely football at home but jesus no never again please. Some practicality is essential, the one thing the Huns got right.

Honestly don't think it even needs a major change in personnel, just tactics and a bit more of a siege mentality in early stages of games, which we don't really get to practice in SPL games.... maybe this extended PL format is a chance to change that?

The step up from domestic football to Champions League is too big for us. We look pedestrian compared to the teams in the top leagues. The gulf in quality between the top leagues and the Scottish Premiership won't change anytime soon either.

They absolutely will and it's * sickening how * they are but get these results. We are set up for smashing teams in Scotland, short passes and pressing but European games we can't do it

It's not so much the gulf but a failure to adjust our tactics to the gulf.

That was not a great Dortmund side and they destroyed us, but we were naive enough to set up exactly the same as we do in Scotland. It doesn't * work.

Rodgers just on now saying we won’t “sit in and camp”. FFS, will he ever learn?

Nah, not buying this. They're not a great team but they set up in a way that's effective for Europe, that isn't just parking the bus.

As a team we routinely smash in our own league it very much is a barometer for us.
