Pretty harsh to single out individual players imo. No one played well. But I agree with your last sentence, Rodgers setting us up to press high against a team of that quality was stupidity of the highest level.

    Well that was a * scudding :eek1:

Fully believed we'd learned some lessons and would be more solid at the back, obviously not.

They were extremely clinical in that first half, but we made it so easy for them aswell. Gifting them the ball and offering them acres of space to run into.

As soon as it was evident that they were in the mood our players totally shat the bed. Bottled it badly.

Unreal to play like this tonight.

We cannot play like that against these types of teams in Europe with these players at our disposal.

If we are winning by 5 and 6 every week in Scotland....You still might have to even change formation and adapt in these games vs PSG/Madrid/Dortmund etc.

You go out to frustrate them and then hit on counter....* shameful setting up like this tonight.

And some people are right...Lenny did set us up difficult to beat and hit on the counter and we got results....This going toe to toe with the big guns is * embarassing.

Neither pens were pens imo. First one the guy was already on the way down and left his leg trailing after Kasper.had committed.

Second one I don't even think the boy was touched yet went down like he'd been shot.

Guaranteed we don't get either of them had they happened up the other end of the pitch.

Clutching at straws...without those two pens we still would of been mauled.

I usually try to post a bit after this sort of result and dissect the defeat a bit. No idea where to even start with that.

Everyone was terrible. We have played an incredibly naive game in Europe for years now. It isn’t even down to individual players. We simply set up terribly again and again, under both Ange and Rodgers.

Hate the fact that the Huns have been out doing us in Europe for what 8 years plus now. We need to change how we set up away from home in Europe. I dont give two * if we park the bus and get beat 2-0 but getting smashed 7-1 which could have been 10 I can't handle.

What Strachan did in Europe with the players he had at his disposal.. well Brendan could learn a lot from re-watching those games on YouTube...

Time for some anti-football. The Celtic way doesnt work in the modern game at the top end of europe.

We pressed? I didn't notice that personally. I thought we invited them to run at us from the off and kept laying the ball off to them, but I didn't see us pressing or getting tight to them at all.

He is good further forward see if he’s playing g deep he’s half the player running about headless actually causing the defence problems with. Interference actually becomes a hinderance when he’s deep seen it actually happen against rangers at ibrox at fault for sima goal

I think it should be CalMacs final season at Celtic.
He is * in Europe. Hate saying this but he is only good for domestic football.
Need someone in that can take over his role as captain but is much physically stronger.
At least he will make his 500th Celtic appearance this season and possibly get 3 more trophies to his collection.

Not clutching at anything, mauled or not those two pens were pathetic decisions and beyond soft.

The Huns don't compete in the CL and when they did they were the worst team, ever!
