One of the most embarrassing nights I can remember. Much worse than being spanked by Barca, PSG or Atletico Madrid with 10 men.

 

That hits 9 or 10 if Adeyemi stays on the park, genuinely lucky to get out way 7.

 

Honestly the lot of them should be hanging their heads in shame. A full season of apologies required for that. Get that scoreline posted up in the dressing room in every game and made to look at it for a minute each. Disgraceful.

 

If we are to ever ‘compete’ in games like this do we just accept that due to the financial gulf we will NEVER be able to go toe to toe with this level of team and instead assemble a team of players capable of playing a GRIM anti-football style of play that might just be capable of scraping a 0-0 or 1-1. Not the Celtic way but how many more years of this do we need to watch our beloved Celts humiliated in front of the whole of Europe to see.

The issue we have in Europe is we still try utilise the size of the park and there’s too many big a gap between the full backs and wingers and the central defence and central midfield , , we needs to be more compact and press when teams get into our half not on their 18 yard box , with maeda and kuhns pace we would get in behind after quickly winning the ball back
