Abysmal stuff tonight and to be honest it is fully on the manager. It was clear from the 5th minute that with the quality Dortmund have they could get through our press. They showed that two or three times before the first two goals went in.

With hindsight the personnel was wrong tonight as well. I love Kyogo but Idah would have been a better option. Hatate should have started. Taylor didn't look fit. Last year at half time against Athletico Madrid we went to a back 3 but Rodgers looked lost tonight. At 3-1 we should have taken Kuhn off and put on Nawrocki and gone to a back 3.

Bottom line is if you go toe to toe with Dortmund- last years finalists then they will * destroy you. And tonight they did just that.

 

The sack Rodgers talk would be over the top. I think we're asking him to be more pragmatic against the better teams. Use Daizen's pace on the break or something.
