  1. Big scales is the glue now. No worries from me.

  2. Aye, me too.. he may opt for Hatate that's the only decision I think.

  3. I think he'll go with the weekend's lineup..

Did exact same for the diet game before Bratislava..

  4. Yeah Cal isn't a DM, but as a 3 him, Engels and Bernardo more than cover that side of things, along with the whole team working together. So it's a complete non issue.

Scales for me has proven himself CL level, with the proviso that yeah he may struggle against some of the better teams/players....but so will CCV and anyone else playing for us. Scales is good enough for this level and had proved it.

Taylor obviously lacks height and pace, but has other attributes that are definitely of a level befitting of the CL.

We're always gonna have a team full of players who will be exposed by the better teams, singling these guys out makes no sense to me when you leave out everyone else.

  5. A huge task tonight; a draw would be a monumental achievement. ‘Mon the Hoops!

  6. Liam Scales to score first with a header

Looking forward to the game, real big test for us tonight. The one person we needed ccv, is out so thats a worry. The positivty from the fans and the media has me worried we might come down with a bump tonight. Its hard to shake the affect of so many poor results in the CL. But lots of new players who have never been there before so here is hoping we have a good game and do the club proud.

  8. Aye was saying that to my pal. That's probably my biggest fear. He'll end up fuckkng us over early doors. Hopefully not. Fingers crossed one of them lose their nut a little and get sent off.
Imagine...a little bit of luck going our way away in Europe for a change

  9. For me none of this team has proven themselves at this level, we came bottom of our group last season, with only O'Riley, Kyogo and McGregor looking like they belonged there.. CCV wasn't fit.

It's not disparaging on them to say that's where our weaknesses lie.. it's just a fact or are you claiming Scales is as good as CCV and Taylor the same calibre as Johnston?

The whole team do need to prove themselves at this level and tonight we do need a near perfect team performance hopefully we'll get it..

  10. Don't want this to be the usual Hoops in Europe.

Concede within 5 mins...a red card and constant missed chances up front.

We need to turn a corner now with this.

    Take a draw 1-1.

But we have been playing a lot of good football....So im hoping a surprise on the cards

  11. Let’s go. Trusty or scales first goalscorer from an engels corner :fear:

  12. It is disparaging as you're singling them out. It's the same tired old stuff that gets trotted out constantly on here....need a 'proper DM' for Europe, Scales and Taylor not good enough for this level....it's the totally wrong way to look at things.

Our lack of cohesion and the stop/start nature of our early season form last year held us back big time, and even then we put in some decent performances. This year is absolutely night and day since then.

If you're talking the likes of Welsh or Holm then fair enough, but the guys you're singling out are more than capable of putting in big performances. Seems to me like you're just ignoring the current momentum and just dismissing them without any context.

How's this for you....Scales wll once again get the MOTM and Taylor will ping one if his magnificent balls up the channel fir Kyogo to run onto and score. My two predictions for tonight.

  13. 2:1 Celtic :BR1:

  14. Not the strongest of points given Taylor and Scales clearly performed better in the CL than Johnston last season.

This is a new season, let's see what happens tonight. In particular, Scales and Johnston have had a full season to build to being more ready.

Team like Dortmund, and our form who knows what happens tonight. Should be a good match regardless.

  15. :56:

    I hope you're right...

Maybe we do need a proper DM for games like this, have you ever considered that...

We are in a good place right now and some of our play has been outstanding..

Teams target the left side of our defence, domestically and in Europe because that's where we are weaker.. it's just a fact..

  16. Did they, I think that's debatable..?

Johnston is clearly a better defender than Taylor and CCV is better than Scales.. I dont think that's a debate?

  17. Hatate I feel has always played well in big games also although he missed was it the last 3 Group games last season.

Although most don't think he'll play but he has played very well in the CL.

  18. Nerves kicking in for this now. Just don't want it to be the usual from us away from home in these games. C'mon Celtic!!!

  19. He gives you something different certainly, but he be can also take too many chances at this level, think it needs to be Bernardo from the start but Hatate will have a big part to play.
