I think that was more delusion than positivity, that. It was all a bit weird TBH. We played out of our skins and they just waited patiently for us to wear ourselves out and then, when we tired, they swatted us aside without getting out of first gear. And people were talking after the game like we were competitive for an hour: no, we weren't.

For the record, I will be very surprised if Dortmund beat us with the same contemptuous ease tonight. I think they'll probably win in the end, as they have too much quality IMO; but I genuinely think we'll cause them problems and make them have to really work for it. I really hope I don't regret saying that!

I agree that Taylor isn’t at the CL level but to judge Trusty as being out his depth in the SPL when he has played one game in the SPL is mental

 

We are ovedue beating a bigger team in the CL, last one was probably Barcelona and they are probably the only big team we'll play this season so it must be them

 

We didn't compete, mate. They did to us what we've all seen us do to the better domestic teams in big games: let them wear themselves out and then pick them off. We could play that game 10 times and we would lose all 10.

As far as the the last point goes, my saying that doesn't prove your point. I hope I'm not wrong for the obvious reason that it will be painful watching Celtic get bent over, not because I would read anything into it regarding our progress this season. In fact, it wouldn't change my mind about anything.

One game yes, but i dont think he strolled it at all. Mostly from post match snaps he looked like a deer in headlights lol.
Think its more a nervousness from me that a game of this magnitude is too much top soon for him.

Can’t help but think CCV is a monumental miss for us, as we will come up against heavy pressure at points and he is exceptional at defending his box.

That said, I think we can hurt them given the way they play.
