    We'll go 1-0 up (Trusty's header from Engel's corner)
    They'll equalise in the 87'th
Kasper to save a pen in the 7'th minute of added time.

Kyogo has to start for me. He, along with Maeda and Kuhn, is absolutely key to our pressing game and we are going to need that to be spot on if we are to have any chance of getting a foothold in the match. The only reason I can see us starting Idah is if Rodgers thinks we are going to be camped in our own box for the majority of the game and wants the extra height for defending set pieces, and hitting them at set pieces, but I doubt he's going into the game thinking that way.

Then Schmeichel throws it to Maeda who sprints the length of the park and bangs in the winning goal.

That result I could live with but I hope it's not like that, that's heart attack material for a large chunk of our fan base right there!

Hopefully another Lazio away result from a few years back. That'd be amazing.

Unfair on all 3 players you've singled out for criticism here. There's been games where they've been poor but also games where they've been excellent.

If the team as a unit perform well and press the game well then any perceived flaws of our players (let's be honest, every one of our players has flaws) will be minimised.

People focus far too much on individual players when it's the team playing as a unit that will be the difference maker.

As I say mate, I think you’re being overly pessimistic. They are favourites and we are under dogs but there is a chance we take something tonight if we are brave and carry the momentum into the game. And that’s me just parroting our manager not being a happy clapper.

Refusing outright before a ball is kicked to acknowledge there’s no chance of picking up a point is defeatist. We need to test ourselves and this is the biggest opportunity to date.

Let's see how we go mate.. no more realism/pessimism from me today..

Just hope the reaction afterwards is measured if we do come up short.

It's not a criticism, it just a fact.. Callum is one of my favourite players ever, but isn't a DM.. we don't play with one.

Taylor and Scales, again really like both and deserve their places in the squad as it is currently, but they aren't defensively good enough at this level.

I hope they prove me wrong and I can't wait to see how the whole team plays.. as every single one will need to show their defensive side more than any game so far this season.

Again, as I said to Paul.. I'm fully behind them and can't wait to see how we perform.

One thing that surprises me is the bookies are showing us a ton of respect this season

vs Bratislava we were rated at an 82% chance to win the game

vs Dortmund we’re rated at a 40% chance to avoid defeat

(nudge both of those down a few points to account for house edge)

Just don't want to see any 'Celtic European mistakes' tonight that costs us. Year after year we seem to make the same errors. Don't want to be at the end of the game going were two or three players away from competing. Got a real belief tonight!

People get hyped up all the time because they played well in a game where we won 5-0 domestically. Completely different game in Europe where we don't dominate possession which is what you're getting at.

We should be aiming for a backline of equal or better than CCV if we want to progress in Europe.

For me this game is all about Liam Scales.

He either rises to the level that folk on here argue hes capable of, or he will prove people like myself correct, in that hes no more than a decent spfl level defender.

Obviously i want proved spectacularly wrong in this regard.

But trusty looks out of his depth in the spl, and Taylor, as we know, is woefully exposed at this level, 9 times out of 10.

Its literally up to Scales to take the backline by the scruff and drag it through this fixture.

Praying i wake up tomorrow with massive amounts of Liam Scales man egg all over my face.

I agree on Scales.. hope he has a blinder.

But harsh on Trusty he's played one SPL game and strolled it.. we'll get an idea on whether he can defend tonight tho.

Dortmund are a good team and home favourites for a reason, I won't be too gutted or raging if we don't get anything out of tonight, unless we're * over by a dodgy red card or penalty in an otherwise tight game.
