Maeda probably gets more steps in during a game than I do in a week. His workrate is unreal and he's somehow managed to add goals to his game. In awe of the guy.

I'm 34 and I've watched Celtic as long as I can remember, I've never seen a player work as hard in my life.

I think he's actually improved this season, he still whips in the odd cross with his Timberland boots on, but his overall game has went up a level.

    Love the guy.

Can’t believe how good he has become under Rodgers.

He was one that i thought Rodgers wouldn’t like when he took over :giggle1:

Scored two great goals today and again we aren't here talking about crazy crosses and mental shooting.

    His hair is his mojo.
And gonna keep on saying it.....hairodynamics.

See his touch near the end of the game with that long ball? Amazing.
Just a shame he landed awkward.

And for such a small guy he can out jump the biggest.
    What a guy

I genuinely think its because he’s learned under Rodgers that he doesn’t need to be all out, all of the time, just when its needed. He’s still pressing and tracking and a work rate monster, but he’s doing it smarter, and that makes everything less rushed that he does. BR’s absence and the struggle at times last season has made me forget a bit just how much of a monster of a coach he is at developing players.

Same mate.. you can see BR absolutely loves him too. That run back at 5 up or was it 6 late in the game was just ridiculous carry on, his team mates must absolutely love him too.

If Lance Armstrong had Maeda's blood in his fridge, he'd have biked to Mars and back in 24hrs.

That specific track back when we were 5 or 6-0 up is something I’ve never seen in the whole time of watching football. Never ever seen that desire from someone. Maybe it’s because others don’t have the capability to get back that fast after playing at such a high tempo for so long. But for me, he’s my favourite player since Larsson. Actually incredible

I hate praising people for working hard as it should be a given but his work rate doesn’t even make sense.

He’s definitely improved a lot under Rodgers I agree, under Ange I wouldn’t have been bothered to see him go but can’t imagine us without him now.

I was working and missed the game, first I’ve seen of this, that is absolutely mental. Player knew he was coming even though he couldn’t see him, absolutely frightening knowing Daizen is going to run you down.

I used to barely be able to stand him. Thought it felt like he was a headless chicken in his first year here but Rodgers has absolutely built on his technical ability with his coaching.

He's a lot tidier on the ball now. Yeah there are still some loose passes and wild crosses, and that won't ever just disappear completely. But he feels like a much more rounded player than even 12 months ago and he's actually adding more of a cutting edge to his finishing than he had before. Granted, there's still plenty of improvement left in that regard.

Really, really enjoying his work here and you just can't buy his level of energy. Insane levels from him and massive credit to him. He's now a huge, huge part of the starting XI.

He's like a thoroughbred racehorse that just wants to run and run. And BR is like the top class jockey that's managed to reign him in a little so he can turn on the afterburners at the right time.

Exactly, there is working hard and then there's Daizen Maeda. Unbelievable work ethic, and his consistency is amazing. It's not like he picks and chooses his games to work his * off. It's every single game.

As a few of the guys have mentioned, he did have elements of being a headless chicken in his game, but this season he has been so much more refined.

I always said, in Europe and away at Ibrox was where we needed him most, but I don't think we can drop him for anybody at the moment. His name is one of the first names on the team sheet.
