There was a one touch pass he played in the first half to cut through the St Johnstone press I thought was superb.

Excellent near post save in 2nd half.

He could play with his slippers on. And of course a lot of the credit must go to the rest of the team, especially the backline, but from the front to the back, the whole team is pressing and tracking back. Formidable.

I don't think even Joe Hart enjoyed that luxury.

We're going to have to recall him from his holidays to face Dortmund.

And there were miserable * on here in the summer trying to downplay him coming in as lazy and not an upgrade on Hart, who did well for us but I think was right to retire now, but it was obvious in the pre-season games how sharp Kasper still is, barring injury he'll be playing into his 40's if he wants to.

He’s always an active member with the team infront of him. I’ve always been of the old man opinion keepers ability with their feet doesn’t matter too much to me, it’s far down the list of what I look for in a keeper. Keeping the ball out of the net and being commanding in his box the biggest ones.

Kasper has the first two in abundance, but the effect he has on the pace of our game with how he’ll pick out a guy with room to move the ball forward quickly, how decisive and quick he is to play out from the back and have a player run onto the ball, or receive it in space. Makes a major difference to the team. An impact I didn’t totally understand was the aim of it.

He’s just so safe. He’s a * foundation for the rest of the team to know they have behind them, no cracks to worry about they have him there. Gives everybody from the defence to midfield so much confidence to just play their game with no worries. I loved Hart but * me, we’ve upgraded by a large margin I think.

No bad for an overweight pensioner. :67:

As good and as comfortable with the ball at his feet as any of the back four.

Anyone know what the record is for most clean sheets in first few games? Heard last night on premier sports he has equalled our own current record held in the early 1900’s. But which club/player actually holds the all time record?

That was different class. Don't think any other keeper we've had in my lifetime would have even spotted that pass never mind being able to execute it.

    Big man is immense.

    5.

He's already surpassed that and has surpassed 6 after yesterday.

Cannie mind who had the record previously, but it was a keeper from years back.

Thought he looked solid yesterday. The Falkirk game gave me a bit of concern but I guess it was just one of those cup games. We'll need a big game from him midweek I'm thinking, that'll be a real test of where he's at.

That’s the all time Scottish record? Or just us as a club?

That save was really good, I know it was to near post but it was hit with power from about 7M out, so well done big man, And he continues to impress with his footwork.

Tomorrow will be a test. He is likely to be called upon if we have any chance.

This is where a quality keeper can be worth it's weight in gold for us.
