    Yeah its daft. Feels like something the clubs need to sort out at the start of the season as its happening too often. With more group games and more teams in the groups, it's going to get worse.

    If they are top at Xmas they deserve to be considered in contention.

    Their next 5 games are hearts, celtic, Dundee utd, Rangers then celtic in the league cup. Those games will give a better indication of where they are at.

    Oh, and btw, the Bundesliga allows for this sort of thing, such as with Borussia Dortmund bringing their game forward to last night, to give them the extra day or so to prepare.

    But nothing we can do about that, and that's a discussion for another thread.

    All the Bhoys can do is win against the team that is in front of them this evening.

    Yeah many leagues do the same. Dutch league will even postpone league games before qualifiers to give teams a full week to prepare if the team requests it. Feels like we are shooting ourselves in the foot and given a third of the league will get into Europe each season it benefits everyone to agree ways to give scottish teams the best chance in Europe.

    Coupled with the reduced away allocation in what will be a half empty stadium tonight it feels like we don't want to grow our game sometimes.

    Anyway, still looking forward to it.
