The form Kuhn has shown so far this season reminds me of the impact Sinclair made that invincible season after he joined us.

Well, I remember hearing that Steve Bruce was the fastest player at Utd back in the day, because he could pull professional athletes times running in a straight line sprint. However, showing that pace dynamically in the flow of a match is different - with stops, turns and curved runs. I don't think there's many on Maeda's level for that dynamic running over a full 90 mins.

Haven't tried to compare directly though, so I'll leave that decision to the better researched and informed... :39:

Is there a direct correlation between how handsome a player is and how good they are? Discuss.

This big man's packed the muscle on and grown a wee bit of stubble and now plays like Robben (the ugly exception in this theory which proves the rule). It's no coincidence we normally have the most handsome squad in Scotland.

He reminds me of when Paddy Roberts was at the height of his form for us.

I'm excited to see more of him in the champions league, he seems to have another gear in him against better players.

My only concern is just keeping him fit and injury free.

As someone who doesn't look unlike the ginger Maldini myself, I consider your post hate speech. Expect better of you JC :38:

Has improved hugely. Still needs to shoot more but, overall, he’s a different beast to last season.

I know its early in the season but would have to be one of the favourites for player of the season if he can maintain this level of form consistently.

In fairness to Scales, his progress has been pretty much linear since he arrived at the club - not good enough for 1st team but ok for other premier team, too good for them but ok for odd appearances for us, ok for us but not able to maintain it for the entire campaign, looking like he's matured to a genuine 1st team capable mainstay.
Kuhn looked like he just needed to settle in without the atmosphere behind the scenes last year and without the new player tag - you don't play all ages levels for the Germans if you can't play ball, and the kind of clubs who looked at him was telling too (including us, of course!).

I'm really hopeful both hold it together for the whole season, because the progress and confidence they could grow in that time might just be eye watering...

If he continue developing like this his value will be something we have never even be close to getting for a player. Not that i want to sell him, but being a young winger with such finishing is very sought after. And the fact he is german will add lots to his value.

I think we are looking at Scott Wright money here.
