Celtic in the UEFA Champions League 2024-25

If we can cut down on some of the basic player mistakes we made last season in the CL we can make a real game of it. If not, we'll get punished against those sort of teams.

 

We also need to be clinical as * which is easier said than done i guess. Can’t have players missing sitters.

Bynoe-Gittens is a genuine threat, ridiculous dribbling ability and full of confidence. The boy up front they got from Stuttgart is a bit of a goal machine as well. Defensively we'll have to be at our best to limit them but we can definitely cause them problems too.

 

They also have players like Brandt and Adayemi, who is basically a younger and slightly better version of Maeda.

 

Yep, their pace is just as threatening as ours. Should make for a great match tbh. Still got the fear about us at the back though.

 

There’s nobody better than Maeda.

 

You mean Malen instead of Brandt. Brandt is a technically great attacking mid with little pace

 

I was referring to Adayemi with the Maeda comparison, my general point with mentioning Brandt is that they have a lot of firepower

Just looking at Dortmund's middle 3 here Can, Gross and Brandt. Very good technical 3 but no exactly the mistake athletic..

Gross is 33, Can is 30 and has never been the quickest and Brandt is the most attacking but no explosive either..

Out wide they've got a lot of pace..

No named a full bench. Hopefully a couple of injuries to give us more of a chance but we deffo have the pace middle to front to hurt them..

 

I don't want to speak too soon but Dortmund don't look anything special. They have good pace on the wings though

I don't expect anything at dortmund really. They're still champions league finalists.

As much of a great shot stopper Kobel is he's dodgy with the ball at his feet. Maeda or Kyogo pressing him could lead to some mistakes

 

If CCV is fit then i think we’ll come home with atleast 1 point.
