Admittedly I didn’t see the 90 minutes but the highlight vid of his touches/involvement looked pretty good for a debut, IMHO

 

At the end of the day we only have him on loan and there is no option to buy agreed either so it all may be a moot point anyway in terms of whether we want him on a long term deal or not. Having said all that while he didn't set the pulse racing at the weekend he showed some flashes and certainly looks at least to be decent back up option for this season for us and we will see how he does as he gets more minutes and settles in. For now though Taylor remains the clear starter at left back.

 

After watching that, I think I was a bit harsh in my previous comment. Some good moments in there. At the first goal, was in the stand on the other side at that corner, and I'm sure there was a pull of the jersey too

 

For me, it’s quite clear he’s being held on that initial goal - surprised this was even a debated decision

Rhythm of how Celtic play will take time but I see what I have always seen from him - very intelligent on the ball, precise in the pass & move combinations. I would concur that perhaps some are rushing to judgement

Me personally, I liked what I saw

 

Yeah he wasn't as bad as some were saying, nowhere near in fact.

He won a lot of tackles that weren't shown in the video. I remember being pretty impressed by that. He misplaced quite a few passes as well though, which also wasn't shown in the clip above.

For the first goal I don't see how he can be blamed for that. That's on Hatate and Trusty, both were very slow to react and weren't anticipating it at all. That said, he should have been a lot stronger at the second.

 

He was easily bullied but Trusty hesitated and Reo, for me the biggest culprit, just stood and watched.

 

Great cameo there, since we were on the attack a lot more we got to see him in the positions Taylor is usually in and he looked comfortable in there. Was well involved and that assist was sensational.

 

As expected, his technique is superb. That assist was majestic.

Yeah the whole build up to Idah's goal was terrific, not just the touch, but the movement and the pass and then going into the box, outstanding.

That's as good a team performance as you can get.

The run was superb, the awareness and flick was of a technically quality player who's been schooled..

He's not as quick as I expected but technically he was fantastic.

 

Needs to start some games to build momentum. Thought he was good when he came on but that touch was a thing of beauty.
