I generally like him. Didn't do himself any favours today though. If he continues to not make an impact it only ends one way.

I'm not one for negatives about our players as I think most of ye know but for me Palma is done here, absolute dugmeat the day.

It’s a tough shift for him sometimes. He’s a winger that leans heavily on others, unlike Kuhn for example. If he’s not in sync with the team he will struggle, and today we had nothing flowing.

He needs to work really hard. There’s still an opportunity there but this team is motoring and he’s going to be left behind fast.

He showed something that really disappointed me today. He hid at times, he didn't hold his width as much as he should and wandered into congested areas. Forrest actually was a bit guilty too

At his best last season, he wasn't perfect but he always showed for the ball. Really * me off today

Did he prove it consistently though?

He had a good couple of months when he joined then he regressed massively and has been at that level ever since. He’s barely put in a decent performance in 2024.

The other players around him have nothing to do with it. For months on end he’s been constantly giving the ball away, struggling to beat his man, making awful decisions in dangerous areas etc.

He’s levels below Kuhn and Maeda.

Agreed, whether you think he's good or not, the insults toward him are weird. By all accounts he's a nice guy

He played a cracking outside of the foot ball over the top early doors, which Idah miscontrolled and I was like "oh yes, that's more like it, here we go!". We didn't go. There was no going.

Haksabanovic mk II for me, has at least some ability but really doesn't suit the style of play the manager wants, doesn't seem able (or willing?) to adapt to the system, and so contributes next to nothing.

Best for him and us if he goes sooner rather than later.

Think it's clear Rodgers doesn't rate him.. tbf when things weren't quite clicking for Rodgers after Ange and with other big players out, he and MOR were the shinning lights..

He picked up a few niggles and then couldn't get back in..

I said on this thread on Friday we'd maybe get an idea of whether he wants it enough and maybe today showed he doesn't..

I would punt in Jan.. but he does have talent and my main point is the abuse is over the top.

Apparently his last league assist was boxing day last year and he's only scored 2 goals this year..

    Frightening if true..

Another pretty telling thing I noticed today is that he's been bombed off set pieces. Meant to be a dead ball specialist but he isn't trusted that much that Bernardo was taking corners and dangerous freekicks on the edge of the box. Then you factor in Engels who will be in and taking all the set pieces as first pick.....hard to see why he'd even be needed much now..

Just doesn't fit our system. He would be better off on the continent.

    Woeful.

If he wants to wear a Celtic shirt again, he should be pointed in the direction of the Superstore.

He has some decent qualities but we need more from a winger. We need more ftom a backup.

Honestly think Rodgers wanted him to prove himself but if anything, he's fallen farther down the pecking order.

Absolute horrendous yesterday, he was so poor it was like playing with a man down.

Thought he actually made Valle look bad due to his positioning and link up.

He simply doesn't have what we need...too slow can't beat a man.

Yang done far more in far less time and that's saying something considering Yang should be nowhere near the team either.

I've always been one his advocates because I really do feel there us undoubted talent there... we'd see glimpses of it with how he positions himself for goals and the old outside of his left foot * into the box that was an assist.

But whatever is going on, he's looking like a long line of talented players that once again fail to apply themselves and will likely leave us... still carve a solid career but will float around the bottom of leagues

Haksabanovic mk II - I said the exact same about Palma. Thinks he’s a lot better than he actually is.

He's a winger, he can only get more consistent with minutes, although granted he needs to grab those minutes and perform.

I don't think he's done, nor do I think he's not good enough to show up. We'll see how Rodgers plays this over the next few months. If he hasn't played any considerable game time or produced anything within those proposed appearances, ai can see us offloading him in the winter transfer window - probably under the guise of being homesick or something...

We were semi dependant on him for a couple of maths last season.

We've evolved and he hasn't kicked his game on. Gives the impression he's just happy to be here. He doesn't aspire to be anything better.

if he was here until the end of the season I still think he would grab a few goals and assists however yesterday was a massive chance for him to grab the game and make it his. ultimately he failed. It's going to be extremely hard for him now to get minutes even over Yang and that's alarming. He's obviously stuck in a rut and might need a loan move in Jan. Probably even sold
