Feel like we could be doing with a few more teams drawing

 

So far still 2nd in league with German teams either side of us.

 

Safe to say Atalanta and Leipzig will not be pushovers.....probably good we have a +4 GD

 

I don't think the results could have been much better for us this week tbh.

Pretty much every team we'd be competing with to qualify lost this week, the only one who didn't was Monaco beating Barcelona.

Lovely stuff.

 

Uh-huh, and chances will be fewer and farther between, meaning we need more efficient finishing. If you reread my post, though, it’s clear I wasn’t talking about those games.

 

Yup, I had an absolute mare there. My apologies.

 

Think we can compete against Leipzig and Atalanta. Atleti dominated that game and were very wasteful . Atalanta are definitely not the same side as they were . Obviously very cautious optimism but I genuinely see us showing up well.

We need to give a good account of ourselves against Dortmund irrespective of the result to ensure players maintain belief at this level. Being confident and believing we can play our own game will be vital.

 

Watched Atalanta tonight and recon they'll be a tough game but one we could win.

Tbh I'd say that is the case for all 3 of the upcoming games, just compete and don't collapse as we've seen us do a few times in Europe against better opposition.

If we can be resilient and weather a few inevitable storms in those games we're more than capable of hurting teams too. Just have to stay in the games and not concede quick fire flurries of goals.

 

I fancy us to score in most games.. if we can get the defending right v dortmund/ Atalanta we certainly could nick something.. the goals away to feyenoord/ Lazio were very preventable

The way we played against City and Chelsea- friendlies or not - gives me a bit of belief going away to Dortmund.

 

Arsenal are one of the best teams in the World and couldn't beat Atlanta.. can't see us getting anything there at all..

Dortmund away too, we just need to give a good account of ourselves and come away confidence in tact.. same with Villa they look strong.

All the other games we have a chance of taking points.

 

Nice wee payout for the other teams in the league, nowt fer the huns tho (well except the Edinburgh ones)

 

we shouldn’t fear a guy who scored an amazing hat trick in a European final just a few months ago?

 

Looking at the league table today made me realise putting 5 goals on the board could be just as big a deal as getting the win, when it gets to the end I think there could be a fair few teams around the middle of the rankings with not much seperating them, goal difference could end up being much more important in the new format than it was in the smaller group stages.
