I think so too, Spurs and their chairman are a basket case of a club. I just hope Ang is there long enough to smash the hun's teeth/dentures down their throats. He won't be without a job for long if he does get the sack (depending on where his wife fancies living next)

Comes across a right * in the media. Spurs are * and have spunked over £100m on two duds in Johnson and Solanke under his watch. He’ll be back at relagation fodder in a few months I think.

When was he ever at relegation fodder? He's been a winner everywhere he's went.

He's gonna find the harsh reality of the EPL very soon, unfortunately. Will likely end up regret leaving us for the EPL, in terms of his own personal career progression.
But I'll imagine he will find a job in a top 3 club in Italy, France, Spain or Germany no problem after Spurs.

If there is one piece of advice though to Ange, please don't take the United job. That's up there with Spurs.

Arsenal or City, perhaps Liverpool would be fine. But anything else in the EPL and it's a hiding to nothing for the extremely vast majority of every manager in the world.

The ambitions of Spurs and the money that they are willing to put into the team are not even close to being aligned. For a long time they were a mid table team plus Kane. Since losing Kane player for player they just look like a team that you could expect to find maybe 5th-8th in the EPL. Good chance ange will be gone by the end of the season and whoever replaces him will achieve the same as him and the last few managers they burned through..

His comments about not wanting to beat your rivals more were kinda poor. Everyone know he means he just wants to win against everyone but it was a poor timeto say it.

He often just disagrees with a journalist for the sake of being a contrarian.

Sometimes you’ll get a good line from him and sometimes it’s justified when it’s a stupid question, but as you say sometimes he just does it for the sake of it when presented with a reasonable question and ends up looking a bit of a *.

Always got the impression he hates the media side of the job and doesn't give a * what they think. I liked that about him.

We all knew what he was getting into joining spurs..I honestly couldn't care if he kept or lost his job.. couldn't wait to get to the premiership so if he is sacked..nae luck.

I've got to be honest, I still like Ange more than any other manager since MON. Actually, probably more than any other manager I've seen here other than Tommy Burns and Martin O'Neill.

I loved Ange as manager. I wanted him to stay. I was somewhat upset when he left, especially to Tottenham Hotspur.

His major flaw was the only way of playing. It saw us shafted in Europe. I know we have taken some hidings under all managers, but it annoyed me when he said he wouldn’t change. That attitude will now see him lose his job by the end of this season and that’s with mid table fantasists.

I get that he saw an opportunity to progress his career in his late 50’s. I get it, but with them?

High expectations, poor squad and lack of patience will do it for him. He could have been here till he wanted to go home and see out his career.

His recruitment at Spurs has been mostly very poor and he's signed a bunch of projects that he won't get the time to develop.

The money spent on Solanke stinks of desperation to get a striker in.

He'll be gone by Christmas having ruined the early reputation where he was getting praised like crazy down.

We should never forget the massive big shithole we were in when he came in and the quality of players he brought to us.

Listening to the Spurs fans ranting about him would make you think they're a successful club

If you are a UK resident you pay tax on your income. Jota qualified as a UK resident when he left and would re-qualify again, including the period he was gone for as its not long enough to unqualify.

Basically being a resident of a country has obligations. Stops people going abroad and earning a packet and then returning and living off it and paying no contributions in taxes, someone has to pay for roads, schools etc. Enough tax dodgeing by elites already without making it easier. Can see why you think it is counter-intuitave though.

It's to stop people going abroad for a short period to avoid tax.
Lots of countries tax their nationals even if working abroad. My sister in law has to fill out a tax return for USA annually despite not living there was 20 odd years.

They think they are and a couple of top 4 finishes has given them that impression. Kane carried them for years though.

I think he will have contributed enough to our roads and schools when he was here, given that he must have been paying 45% tax the entire time. He wasn't living or working in the country when he was earning the Saudi money, I still don't understand why he should have to pay tax on that to the UK.

He's not a British national, though.

If he's away longer he'd not have to. It's just been too short a time to be disqualified as a UK resident. Being a resident has obligations and the super rich, which Jota now qualifies as aren't a special case.
