Aye, I agree Hatate drops out for me.. however I'm not sure of Rodgers will see it that way.. He was poor yesterday but he's important to how we play.

A bit surprised Valle and Trusty haven't seen any game time as of yet.. But tbf Taylor and Scales have made excellent starts to the season and don't deserve dropping. It is at this level they can struggle tho.

Champions league. Any team in it is very good. Even a nice 1-0 will make me go mental. There isn't a team we will pump 4-0. That's wild

 

I think Hatate starts in the CL alongside Mcgregor and bernardo tbh. Bad game for his standards yday but only back from international break. That trio have all played CL for Celtic before aswell and have the better relationship/understanding of each other right now whereas engels is still adjusting and hasn’t played CL yet. So I think they’ll start and engels will come on at 60 mins. I think it would be the right choice to start them aswell as right now they’re our strongest midfield 3 if they’re on form and I think Hatate will be well up for it

Harsh, Hatate was poor yesterday but so were many.. especially the ones that have travelled the most in the International break..Maeda and AJ too.

Hatate has been good this season.

I would however like to see how a midfield of McGregor, Bernardo & Engels operates in the CL tho.. think it makes us more solid but maybe lose some inventiveness.

Good conundrum to have for Rodgers.

Overcame Midtjylland in the Qualifiers, but unsure how good they are just now.

 

Couple of posters on the previous page have a bit of info. I know it's a new format but don't think we can be complacent at all. I'd expect they'll be a much better team than any other we've played this season.

 

Need to win - no excuses- no hard luck stories - silly sending off etc - do a tough but professional job against a smaller club at home … it won’t be easy but its Champions League

Anyone expecting a pumping needs to get their head straight. Aye, we could, but we have no right expecting any wins like that in the CL. A strong performance and three points will do me just fine.

 

Will take any win to get us started, don't think it will be easy the way some are thinking. They're in good form.

Like ours league's obviously not the the strongest but played 6, won 5, lost 1. Top of the league, won away at 3rd top yesterday.

I'd guess they'll be tricky.

 

I'll miss the first 10/15 mins of this hoping nothing happens during that time

 

Just looked at their game..

Lucky as * win. Came from behind with a late penalty to go 2-1 up and the home side missed a penalty at the death to draw level..

They're top but have scored 11 in 6 and conceded 8. No exactly prolific or a side who seem defensively sound..

Got battered 5 nil at home the other week..

Looking at their squad it's so poor to average, with a lot of older heads. They've got a fair few 37 year old alone and one, a mainstay centre half. Likes of that Weiss from the huns at 34..

Lot of players who've came from places like Cyprus last season or the year before..

I watched their highlights and they were so lucky to go through their European qualifier. They got battered..

I'm 100% sure we play at any kinda tempo and we'll do then..

 

I'm looking at us to be two up by then, you can always see the replays.
