Nicolas Kühn

Been saying for a while he is absolutely terrifying for opposition defenders in transitions. Tailored made for Rodgers quick transitional and dynamic football. Will be interesting to see how he does in Europe.

 

Feels like he's a new signing, he's been that good and his link up play with Johnston is excellent.

 

Anybody got that wee gif of his footwork second half where we eventually stuck it over the bar..

Was ridiculously quick footed and skilful..

He's surprised me loads. Thought there was no way back for him after hiding in big games last season to now being a main player..

Almost, almost has that Jota effect but without the scoring, yet..

 

Aye, his shooting is nowhere near Jota's but he's a lot quicker than Jota was, who wasn't a slouch.

I think he's going to get far more asists than Jota did mind you, his vision and passing is excellent.

 

Aye he's quicker and better at beating his man 1 on 1..

Nowhere near Jota's finishing though but do agree on his vision. He's always playing with his head up and guilty of being too unselfish..

 

Hopefully BR can work his magic on his finishing

 

Couple of his wee twisty runs and dribbles today were different class, as if the ball was glued to his foot.

 

I think it must be otherwise surely he'd have had a dig a few times!

He's really improving and is brilliant at cutting in and attacking down the lin, so just hoping some focus on training in ending these runs with shots on target and we'll see him popping up with a few more goals as well.

 

Be Arjen Robben if he could finish from 20 yards, gets into those positions so frequently with his trickery and pace. Good signing and important player for us . Need another winger though desperately ; Palma and Yang will be punted and Jamesy is no spring chicken .

You ideally would like one either side , or one who can play on either wing . Needs to be quality though wingers in our traditional price bracket are dozen a dime . As you say January . I would imagine (and hope) our next big transfer spend will be on a wide man . Would be nice to have the same depth/quality we have in CM out wide.

 

Was superb, I thought he'd have stayed on as well over Maeda as he was the best attacking player.

Definitely needs to shoot more though, I think he had one shot that he ballooned from carrying the ball or playing round the box but he could have had a good 5/6 more shots from good positions.

He looks more of a midfielder than a winger though. Reminded me of Armstrong playing winde when I watched him. I think it was him or McCowan

 

I read an in depth analysis of him just before he signed and that was the thing highlighted to work on, he’d be massive numbers creating chances but willingness to shoot in areas he had a chance on goal was relatively low. Already this season he’s had glimpses of taking opportunities and chances, but it’ll take a while to be natural to do it

 

hard to describe but you know when top European players play against us and just glide through our players on like a loose ball or a counter attack. I only saw the first half but there was multiple times he just glided through the middle of around 2 or 3 Hearts players and started an attack for us.

Again like others has said would like to see him shoot more etc but love what I'm seeing so far this season. Unreal talent

 

His play for the second goal was incredible, love him.
