Thought he was actually pretty poor when he came on, like a wee boy in a man's game.

Took his shot well mind you, delighted for him to get a goal.

That bit of play that ended in the goal he was quality in, started it, was cool on the ball, tenacious and worked hard and kept himself free to finish and it was a good finish even if the keeper could do better there. Saying that, I agree with your opinion, but he’s still settling into knowing where he should be in a very well drilled midfield. I like him.

What specifically did he do to earn that appraisal?

Needs time to adjust to that step up in level I think but he's got the quality to do it.

He looked a bit ropey to begin with. Settled in as time went on. Just nerves being a big fan. Think it'll take a few months training against our quality to up his game to our level tbh however you can see he'll do a job and will get there. Top guy.

I think he brings a lot of energy to our midfield, the perfect substitute tbh who is more than good enough to stake his claim for starting as the season goes on.

Were you happy for Luke McCowan?

It's great. Any player playing for their boyhood team and to come on and he is still adapting a lot to the speed and tempo of the game. He will never lay down whether he starts the game or comes into the game and I think for a young guy who is a Celtic supporter, it is his absolute dream to be here, you can sense it in him every single day. To then actually score at Celtic Park and get that feeling from the supporters is brilliant for him. The supporters recognise it as well. I am so happy for him.

    Chuffed to bits for him.

He has only just arrived and will take time to integrate, but he will contribute a lot over the coming months.

He did indeed play a part leading up to the goal, and got a decent shot away to gain his first ever goal in the Hoops. A moment he'll never forget, and hopefully he gets up to speed quickly.

There's something about the laddie, hopefully prove to be at the very least a good squad player.

Slow on the press, weak tackling, and not quite up to the tempo until the charge for goal number 2.

As said, there's a likeability about the lad, most certainly looking to seeing more of him this season.

I'd tend to agree, but it matters not.

If he didn't shoot, we wouldn't have scored. Simple.

I'd certainly not be advocating any negativity toward the lad's first ever goal. Asbolutely not. A moment that should be cherished, which I'm sure he and his family are still doing as we speak!

It wasn’t at all a poor shot, bent around a defender so keeper would see it late and bounced right infront of goal to make it difficult. Keeper could have done better but it was far from poor

100% disagree there. Thought he did really well, got stuck in, looked quite composed on the ball and passed well. Excellent wee 10 minutes where he got really involved.

Slow on the press? He was like a man possessed when he came on, which is what I thought you were getting at.
