Daizen Maeda

Nice little finish that... player of the season award incoming...

 

He clearly doesn't have great technique though. I'm not saying it's pub player level and he clearly has some amazing attributes that make him very effective, but technique isn't his strong suit. I think that's undeniable.

 

Inconsistent application of technique = poor technique to me. But we'll agree to disagree, as you said it's been extensively covered

 

I mind the only clip I watched of him before he signed was a goal of him chipping the keeper from about 10-15 yards outside the box.

As fast as Daizen is, surely Agathe had to be quicker.

 

If Maeda had the finishing ability of Kyogo and the technique of Bernardo he wouldn’t be at Celtic. The question for Maeda is though given his age, how much more can he develop ?. He’s a good professional with an unbelievable work rate and pace, but the end product has stopped him from being a monster. I like him but I don’t believe he will get much better.

 

Depends the distance. Over 20-30 yards Frimpong is up there!

 

Probably, but the most amazing thing about Daizen is the number of high intensity sprints he does. Never seen anything like it - it's like he's constantly looking for any excuse to sprint up to top speed.

 

It's his recovery and be able to go again immediately.. not almost immediately, but immediately..
