Nawrocki should definitely be in front of Holm, we had several injuries at CB last season and I think we need to cover for that. Yang probably got the nod because Palma and Forrest have already taken knocks this season and Maeda was out the first game.

Iwata wasn't in the plans and if he stayed there would be no room for him either. If you need a 6th choice midfielder it should definitely be a youth player.
Holm will be going out in January as I expect we sell Bernabei and a loan spot is freed.

 

Suspect you're right but even if that's the case we're still far more likely to need another number in midfield than at CB or out wide.

He might go out on loan yet Belgian market is open until a Friday and I think there are a few still open this week too. Turkey is middle of the month.

In a practical example
you can have 5 club trained and 3 nation but not 5 nation and 3 club

 

With CL, cup games and league matches coming thick and fast after the break, I wouldn't be sending Holm out on loan. Even with him out of the CL squad, we could need to rotate him in or use him as a sub in some domestic matches.

I didn't know players could be on the B list as long as they are under 21 and been at the club for 2 years.

If we signed Holm the year before we did he would have been allowed on the B list.

 

Holm was a given not to make it. add to say Montgomery and Welsh kept to meet the criteria and provide at least the extra bodies if desperate.

Holm needs a loan, but I guess that can't happen in any league now? Really then needs to impress somehow or it's curtains I think come January for him

Do we have to name a list of our B team players? Also aren’t the youth UEFA tournament games on the same matchday too? So those squads will be different to the B list potentially? Will be interesting to see who’s viewed as an option to potentially step up

 

Legitimately forgot Montgomery existed. Seeing that list actually makes you realise how much we neglected developed young Scottish players in recent years, definitely need to ensure we're bringing through more club-trained lads and snatching up good Scottish players like McGowan.

 

Celtic will name all the players who can be on the b list on the off chance they are needed. Probably won't say much if anything.
