I don't mind most of what you are saying in your longer posts, early ones where just flame bait, but there is an irony in claiming there is only one way to play football successfully, given our most successful moments where built on challenging that very idea.

Sure Ancelotti has his game plan and team selection and tactics match it. He does obviously have a better calibre of player but football isn't that one dimensional and never should be.

The fact that we are playing better, more cohesive football should increase our chances of doing better. To be successful domestically we do need to be an attacking team as there is a reality about how other teams play against us.

Similarly we don't know yet how Rodgers will set up for Europe so you are prejudging a lot. He's definitely more pragmatic than Ange. So let's see what happens in the first game and then maybe come back based on an actual game played.

This is why playing good football is so important. Whichever team wins, the joy of one set of fans is matched by the despair of the other. The joy of watching some of the football we've been playing so far this season, on the other hand, is a pure gift with no matching negative for the other lot.
