He’s been good recently, very good today in fact. Having another LB in will have helped too. He’s be desperate to keep his place.

Taylor was fantastic today, they never got a sniff, he always plays terrific against them, and he evidently despises them.

As someone else has already mentioned, he has excellent football IQ, and he is utterly determined not to relinquish his position in the team.

Gave the ball away a few times in dangerous areas.

Kept Cerny quiet most of the game.

    Decent performance in general.

He was close to being my MOTM tbh.

Thought he was fantastic. And has been for a while. I'd be extending his contract.

Looks like a guy focussed on playing to earn a new contract.

Always turns up against them *.
He got totally flogged last season, so looking forward to see him rotating with Valle, when we start our CL campaign.

There surely must be talks going on in the background? Maybe he wants to sign but wants to see if anyone daft in England will treble his wages for his last big contract. Understandable aswel. Some player.

No negativity here as i thought he was pretty good, but you could still see that the few mistakes that happened in the backline, Taylor was involved in most of them.

A brilliant squad player and i would extend his contract if he is okey with being 2nd choice. We can improve as a team if we get someone better at his poisition, and maybe Valle is that guy.

Not many mistakes but one that stood out was when he dropped the ball near our box, won it back, then lost the ball again leading to a attack for the hun. These mistakes can't happen in europe.

Like Scales, he's excellent on his day, and hopefully with competition now he'll rise to it. Got mistakes in him, for sure, like most of our players - if they didn't they'd be nowhere near the SPFL. I think he'll battle with Valle for the spot, and it's no way guaranteed he'll surrender it. Think he'll extend his contract too, but maybe not too long. Wouldn't surprise me if he's offered good money in England though...

Seems like I'm saying this in every players thread but again absolutely brilliant yesterday.. and again like Scales so far this season he's #1 in his position..

Greg Taylor and James Forrest withdrawing from the Scotland squad apparently for this break.

Forrest should tell them where to go considering they never gave him a minute when we were crying out for his creativity at the Euros and Taylor might as well never go back as he rarely gets a game except maybe the odd friendly.

Taylor had a great game on Sunday. His interception and pass to Kyogo was fantastic play. All round effort and desire to get involved can't be denied.

Regardless of what we think of him, from a business perspective, he should be getting a new contract or a contract extension.

I think he knows he can get one with us and their allowing him to see in janaury if anyone will offer him retirement money to play. He's not earned huge compared to some so will be looking for that one big one.

Ofcourse it could just be lawell being a *.

He’s a very, very good footballer trapped in a body which just isn’t equipped for the modern full back role.

He reads the game well, uses the ball well, takes up great positions, works his socks off and has a great attitude. The harsh reality is that he’s a few inches too small, not quite strong enough and not quite quick enough to be really top drawer.

He absolutely makes the most of what he has though and deserves huge credit for that. Can’t fault him at all and hope he’s rewarded with a new contract (albeit I hope he’s not the bonafide first choice).
