I get all the he works hard, wins back possession etc but the boy has real football ability. Great feet and tremendous awareness. He will be a great player for us.

Thought he was immense yesterday and I think he can only get better with age.

I feel we should keep the team as it is for Hearts and Bratislava and then against Falkirk at home in the Cup.

    Maybe send out like

    Sinisalo
    Ralston Welsh Trusty Valle
    Bernardo
    Engels Holm
    Forrest Idah Palma
For that and then see how Trusty, Valle and Engels do in that, if they play out their skin in that game they might stay in the team for St Johnstone and Dortmund. If they don't they remain on the bench

That was some performance from him, a great headache for Brendan, competition for places is always healthy.

I think Rodgers is fully focused on the treble, he won't make that many changes for any game.

I think he will be but I'd like to utilise the squad when we can tbf.

Sinisalo should defo play that game if possible. Given its Falkirk and Schmeichel played there mind he probably will play:56:

As well as Valle and Trusty.

I think Engels can play in Callum's position if we need to rest him. I want to see Valle aswell as Taylor could do with some back up. Good rotation options all round.

    Edit: Wrong thread

Honestly buzzing to see the praise Paulo has been getting from all angles. He's properly stepped up and took on the responsibility of filling the O'Riley gap, it's brilliant to see.

Watching the first half back again he really was incredible. Best player on the park for the first 45 - so unlucky with the chance as well, he did brilliant to set it up.

I was purring at his first half performance to my pal. Was unreal, he was everywhere and had the quality and physicality to match. He bullied them and he's so good at pressing opponents and shutting off the space..

Loads to work with if he can add that consistency. He's definitely a player that can regularly score and assist as well but we've no seen enough of that either. Don't think it's far off..

If he adds goals and assists consistently he won't be here long, hate to say it. Got everything else in his locker. Physicality and defensive work is off the scale, like you say. He'll be absolutely massive this year in the CL.

100% Paddy and I think he will. It's what he's always been from the Benfica academy and Portuguese unders. Look at his reels and he's bagged plenty of crackers..

Be interesting to see what Brendan does for champions league as with Bernardo and Engels we definitely have more physicality and box to box engines now in the squad overall, McCowan included..

I was thinking about that. Engels has obviously been signed to start but right now you couldn't drop any of McGregor, Hatate or Bernardo. I wondered if he might try Engels at RW for a bit of defensive solidity against the top sides - he's played there for Augsburg I think.

I was thinking maybe a Hatate off the wing away from home who could then come in and effectively give us a compact 4 with Maeda and Kyogo giving us the outlets up top. As Hatate as played on the wing I'm sure but didn't know Engels has played right wing. Interesting..

Kuhn has shown he can turn do it against good sides in pre season and pressure games like Sunday though so that front 3 is lightning quick as a trio for counters. I think we'll cause lots of problems in Europe this year..

MOR scored 3 goals the season before last. All it takes is the right level of coaching and something to click.

Confident Rodgers will get more out of him attack wise.
