    He's going to surprise people with how good he is imo.

    I know it's easy to say now he's with us, but for me he was comfortably the best player in the league outside us and the huns (and Miovski), different positions but a far more talented footballer than the likes of Shankland.

    He still walks into the huns midfield currently, a far, far better player than Barron and Lawrence.

    If Hibs had got him, it'd have been a real coup for them, but it's a smart piece of business that doesn't mean we won't get a suitable replacement for Hatate down the line, which is what I think we were trying to do with Sanches this summer.

    Of the new signings he’s the only one I’d have in the squad tomorrow. He’ll be ready to go and he knows how we work from being in the league and how they work from playing against them.

    McCowan is twice the player Allan was, it's very easy to forget his best games came in the SPFL championship.

    Weird comparison either way.

    Allan looked a decent player at the time but doesn't have the legs and energy of McCowan....nowhere near..

    Had diabetes as well didn't he Allan?

    McCowan easily a better player..

    I think he has a chance of establishing himself as a solid performer for us. He is flying just now in terms of his form and has some real technical ability.

    Also I am sure McGregor and Rodgers will be able to help him kick on again.

    Think he will do well, Every player cannot be an early 20's next £30m player.

    Plays as well for us as he has dundee then we have won a watch at £1m.
