Very good window, we raided the war chest and splashed the cash. No complaints from me.
Invested in the team, and gave us a solid chance of outperforming in the Champions League now.

We have emerged much stronger in goal, defence and midfield, and up front, as you are.

We may be counting on Palma stepping up a gear or two on the left wing, he does deliver a wicked curling cross, so here's hoping.

Its really difficult to even play a cdm here. Let alone develop one. We only need them for 6 games a season (8 now). We Play a holding midfielder who dictates the play and tempo. Brown then Callum.

Idah will be immense. The finishing thing you could be right because I only ever see the Scottish cup final when I think of that aspect.

Like I said he has all the tools and Brendan will tune him.

How can you rate a window in which we broke our transfer record twice, a 5.5/10?

By that logic Tore Andre Flo was the best this league has seen. Market is inflated and every club knows we're rich and take advantage of it. Plus we can all agree a transfer fee does not always correlate to the quality of the player and I think Idah is a great example.

We overpaid for Idah, agreed, but he's a far better player than some of our fans give him credit for.

Guy scored 2 vital goals against Motherwell, kept his composure to win us the game away to hibs and, spilled shot or not, won us the Scottish cup.

He put in a MOTM performance against Kilmarnock to win us the league, he was probably worth around £6 million but if he's who the manager wanted, I don't really care if we overpaid for him.

What would a 7 or an 8 have looked like for you then?

Overall I think I it's been a solid window, but we went about our business in a * (typical Celtic transfer window) fashion. Gk done well, sorted out early and looks a solid improvement all round.

Defense, could have improved more will see how trusty gets on, potentially we could have the USA CB pairing if things go right. Lb, Valle looks good from the little I've seen in researching him.

Midfield, engeks looks the business, Bernardo is a good fit here, McCowan looks a good option in there too, I liked iwata but with 3 signings someone has to go and we've kept holm instead and have turley potentially around for games this season as well.

Idah has shown he can perform, bit expensive but who gives a *, no like we're short of cash.

Wings, would have been nice to see a flashy new winger it's always an exciting position to strengthen but we're looking good on them as is so far and can reassess in Jan if needed.

Outgoings, some really good business in there, bigger fees than we would have expected for some, a good clear out to get us down to a better size and a new record sale.

Just woke up and only Luke added, I was hoping for one more. I'd have preferred a defender,I still think we are short there, hopefully Rocki gets his * together.

We've added much needed height and pace to the defence so cant complain too much.

Midfield and attack looks decent, I still like some others have hope for Palma, might just need a kick up the *.

Absolutely Delighted with the deadwood shifted and hopefully an end to signing absolute dross in the hope one might be good.. hopefully a shift in policy..

No reason I think any of these signings couldn't of been done weeks ago so getting marked down for that..

The board won't be getting too much praise from me for simply doing their job, it's about * time.

    So a 7.5/10..

Now smash the hun scum Sunday :ynwacelti

For me, we're a kind of paradoxical team. What we need for our league serves us poorly in Europe, and vice versa. Our league is so negative and deconstructive that we need flair and agility to unlock teams, in Europe we need the CDM and CB players who can just play a territorial role and disrupt and feed out. Very difficult to get players good enough to do both roles.

Bernardo, McCowan and Holm is in reality a great trio to bring off a bench domestically at least. Particularly with 5 subs nowadays.

Another thing as well, in the cold light of day we got Bernardo for 3.5m, Portuguese U21 Captain. Fully anticipate him to really kick on.

There's also development in Holm its just whether he gets that game time..

    Glad it's done tbh

Arguably could say we are going into champions league this season stronger in every area of the park than last season.

Rodgers got what he wanted in terms of squad numbers (22 outfield + 3 Gks), which involved shifting a lot of deadwood.

2 concerns for me is I'm struggling to see where the goals/assists that o'riley provided last year come from from this midfield and think we lack creativity on the wing. For all his improvments Maeda is still gonna be very little use in games at home v teams that park the bus and leave little room.

The signing of Bogusz would have helped eleviate those fears but left that one far too late

That’s interesting. We’ll have to leave one of Nawrocki, Holm, Yang or Palma out of the squad it seems.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Rodgers likes his energy. I’d say it’s very possible just wouldn’t be certain.

Shaw I'm surprised he's still here

Apparently knocked back a couple of moves

Would go with maybe Holm being out

Think it’s got to be a winger or a CB. We have 5 wingers and 5 CBs for 4 positions. Only 6 mids for 3 positions.
