I think we technically did have CCV linked prior, but it was back in June.

All I'm saying is we need to dig out the early June/July rumours and see who we could still get

 

Hope we get Engles McCowan and a decent winger.

 

Not even a sniff of anything further with 2 hours to go - have we ever signed someone in the last couple of hours out of the blue? I can't recall and it makes me sad.

 

Happy with Engels, hoping I'm wrong about Trusty but overall I wish we added a Bogusz/Sanches type player. McGowan doesn't seem a upgrade over Iwata.

Unlikely we will get a player we haven't heard mentioned in a hour now. If only we didn't rush everything on the final day

Lol, hardly. Being able to understand words is the problem here, you gibbering pish about Bernardo, wherever the * him name came from doesn't lend to your argument. As you clearly can't seem to understand this years squad and last years, lol, just a hint, Bernardo was a Celtic player last year, lol. You'll probably still not be able to understand the whole Matt thing, but anyway, *, just thinking I'm the one with the beer in me.

 

Of all the many signings we made last summer, only one (Palma) was ever a first-team player and even he finished the season out of the first team behind Forrest and Kuhn. Apart from that, we brought in a ludicrous number of people the manager didn't want and didn't play. We also failed to get in a LB yet again. We failed to organise loans for players who clearly needed them too. It was a shocking window and I said so at the time.

This year, we spent a lot of money on Idah (at the time, it was our third-highest fee ever!), sorted out a decent goalkeeper, are right now in the process of breaking our transfer record on Engels, got a LCB who Rodgers actually wants for once, sold a ton of deadwood for good fees, organised loans for players who needed them and **** me if we haven't even gone and got a left back!

It’s obviously not completely out of the question, but part of me thinks if there was anything beyond Engels & McCowan the club would’ve dropped a little hint for Luke Shanley to share on SSN (and I suppose the McCowan tidbit was sort of that).

McCowan is a definite upgrade in the squad over Iwata. He's a far better player, Iwata is/was very limited.

Have to hope that Trusty is good (I'm doubtful) and Engels is an adequate MOR replacement but more defensively sound. I've said on here for years and will keep saying it until the cows come home but we need a proper CDM for Europe.

No winger is severely disappointing. I don't think we're strong enough at all in that position unless a few of them massively step up.
