There has been a lot of good work..

Can't lie though, I will be disappointed if we don't get another winger/creative type in..

His name is Luke, not Percy. It’s not that hard.

I want us to sign McCowan so people can properly learn the poor guys name.

    I’m certain we will.

Hope that makes you feel better. I’m not that certain.

You've completely ignored my question, so I'll ask you again.

What makes last year's transfer window better than this years? I know you're struggling here but it's not a difficult question :50:

You realise that to bring in those eleven; we’d need to ship out even more players than we’ve already managed to, right? And that continuity does play a part in a team’s success?

Sorry, could you point out where I suggested in any way, shape or form that our wingers now are better options than two years ago? Or did you just make that up?

It's funny how people say that 9.5m for Idah is a good thing while he is worth half of that. I also agree that the window has hardly been a good one. We should be sprinting away from the rest while we seem to get marginally better. Not to mention we once again left it so late...

If we were signing mccowan I'd have thought it would have been evident in the press that we'd bid by now.

Can't help but feel he's the back up to someone else.

This sounds great in isolation until you view it through the lens of where we were at May 2024.

We are reliant on Valle and Trusty being the players who bring the quality of the squad up notches from May 2024. I'm not convinced on Trusty but we will review in due course.

It would also have been a much better window if we got the aforementioned in earlier and been able to understand their initial quality

If it’s just Trusty and Engels then I’d be happy enough. But last Sundays comments from the manager and the ones earlier would suggest it was 4/5 not 3 for this week. Strange he would make these comments if we weren’t signing a couple more.

I think it probably lies in Palma's future here.

Felt like when we rejected a bid for him it was evident winger would need to wait.

I do like Palma but I get that's not a majority opinion. I think the club will wait until January and see how he gets on., maybe go back in for Balikwisha.

2 hours left so let's see what happens

Also, usually we would know pretty much for certain who our last minute announcement would be hours and hours before the deadline. Dunno why the club still do this every window it’s pretty childish tbh, no one buys that pish these days with social media.

So it’s either Engels getting announced last minute, who has been done for a couple days now or we have a wee surprise.

Think Engels & McCowan and we're done.

Your inferences are clear - no need to explain

You think it has been an acceptable/great window - I disagree as our playing squad is net net as at May 2024 with the reliance on Valle and Trusty (let's see) being the difference makers.

Two fundamental points around the window as well: i) deal execution should have been undertaken earlier in the window so we could assess quality before our first game against the Huns in 2 days and our first CL game in 2 weeks time and ii) a LB and CB were needed 7 transfer windows ago

On the basis of the three inherent points outlined, I can't get on board with this being a great window by any means
