I think we'll announce Engels at 9:30 then we'll know if our last player is McCowan or someone else.

I'd be very surprised if it's another 2

We've brought in nearly £50m since Feb player sales, so enough of the * please.

    That's a fact.

Not counting season ticket sales and all this CL money.

Don't talk pish, even if you don't rate this window it's 100 times better than last summer.

    Hard to please some folk..

We've strengthened at GK x 2, great bit of business with both hopefully..

    Added a LB from Barcelona..

    LCB for £6m

Broken our transfer record with Engels and added Bernardo on permanent deal, again excellent business.

    £9m for Idah..

Hardly disappointing.. I'd say good.. if we get another 2 in.. it will be excellent..

I don’t think I’ve come across anyone else who seemingly thought we needed an entirely new starting eleven (with the exception of Carter Vickers I presume) in one window. It’s an interesting viewpoint.

2 hours left. Here’s hoping lads and lassies. We’ve hung in there this long. Time for the payoff

We wouldn't in my view if we invested some of the £40m+ in sales wisely. Some good money earned in Jan from Abada & of course CL money.

We need a RB to replace AJ rather than AR! Gets beat at the back post far more than GT has!

Think it's been decent in the end.

Good to address LB and CB.

For me could still be doing with another CB and probably more urgently another attacker or two.

I still look out our wide options and they don't fill me with confidence for an entire season. Think it'll need to be sorted January.

Really surprised if Rodgers is happy with the wide men. It's a concern for me.

We do not need a RB for * sake :56:

Johnston is good enough as first choice and Ralston is good enough domestically as back up.

It's literally second last on our list of positions needing upgraded, just behind GK.

If it’s just Engels I give it a 7/10. If we get another midfielder (McCowan or Sanches ?) I give it a solid 7.5/10. If we get a winger as well, full marks. 10/10.

Pish is talking in hindsight, which your obviously doing, we signed players yes it turned out wasn't a great one, but let's not kid yourself on knowing for a fact that these players we've brought in are going to be any good.

By the way Sky Sports were reporting that Iwata is doing a medical at Birmingham. I think that pretty much confirms we’re signing another midfielder on top of Engels.

McGowan is a minimum. Idah can't be our only attacker this window, especially after losing MOR.

Agree with this. Shipped out the deadwood aswell. So going forward were only going to improve. The biscuit tin as been smashed open.

Ad take McGowan to fill the last association player. Would prefer Armstrong though but not even a link.

A surprise young winger and I'd be happy with the window.

With the new champions league format and the team now playing the way reminiscent of Brendans first year the last time im really excited about this year.

    McCowan ffs

if he signs can we please get this right everybody. It’s not that hard :giggle1:

He’s also a midfielder, not an attacker per se

You are saying an entirely new starting 11 but I am wanting a robust and talented squad. The type of quality off the bench on 60 mins in Ange's second season. We have 8+ European games this season.

Presumably you are suggesting our winger options are better now than Jota, Abada, Maeda, 2yr younger Forrest?

Go back and have a read in the thread then. You'll get your answer there.

It seems some people need a calculator and a thesaurus on here.
