Why has Rodgers kept him? Was there not talk about knocking back a bid for him?

 

All his flaws are coachable flaws IMHO. I still have hope that he'll turn it round.

@The Prof: see if he could just take a couple of tips from Bernardo (scan constantly and play the ball quickly) and try to copy some of Forrest's link-up play, he'd be a * of a player and we'd all be raving about him. He has the tools.

 

He has potential but I’m just not sure he has the correct attitude to play for us. It doesn’t seem, outwardly anyway, that he cares that much when he misses a sitter or doesn’t complete a pass. Just my view, I certainly hope he can contribute positively in the upcoming season.

 

Wonder what clubs were after him in France and Germany. Glad he’s staying though.

 

Think one of the French teams were Reims.

 

Tbf if he does that (and improve his decision making on the ball), we'll have a pler on our hands.

 

He was really really good for a fair few games first half of last season ,a couple of home games he was a constant threat delivering quality balls , popping shots off . Showed up well in UCL at times too. Opinions on him.have changed massively in the last 8 months , but he can definitely be a big player for us . He has been kept for a reason .

 

When he first broke into the team he was our main creative player along with O’Riley.

Interestingly if we had a big striker like Idah, his assist numbers would have been really high as he constantly put good deliveries into the box but we had no presence in there.

I don’t think he is anywhere near as bad as made out but his confidence is shot at the moment compared to the player we brought in. We need to get that back up if we are to have a useful player. He could do with one of those long range efforts going in.

 

Needs to really step up..

Has it in him but needs to more selfless on the ball and work harder off it..

Does both those things and he still has a lot to offer. We're 100% gonna need him..

 

Guessing bcoz we couldn't get a winger in. If we did he'd have been away

 

Possibly will benefit from having an overlapping full back behind him now. Should create more space for him cutting inside. His decision making would need to improve tho once he does get that space

 

Got an assist against Trinidad this morning.

 

They're only coachable if Palma is willing to be coached and changed his game.

 

With Valle also able to speak Spanish it might help them develop a good understanding on the pitch.

 

Didn’t realise his stats were as strong last season- 47 games, 25 goal contributions (or there about)

If he could get a bit of consistency in his game there’s a definite player there. Just thought he drifted in and out of games too much for me.
