It's a shame for him. I get when some people say they don't really care about players when they move on from us but it depends for me. A lot of players come and go and I couldn't tell you where they've ended up, but some I'll continue following and hoping they do well, and O'Riley is one of them. Read initially they suspected it could be a broken ankle, so could be looking at missing a fair chunk of season. Just hoping he fully recovers.

Feel the same, O'Riley is genuinely one of the good guys in life, will always hope he does well.

Wish him a quick and speedy recovery.

The Brighton fans were all saying how thuggish Crawley Town’s players were and there manager came out post match and said “perhaps we were a bit over aggressive..”. It was their captain Jay Williams that made the horrible tackle on MOR. Hope karma kicks in and he gets a season ending injury.

From a purely selfish Celtic point of view, it's better for him to do well:
    • If the add-ons are completed, the club gets more money
    • If O'Riley does well, it means we can get more money selling players in future
    • If players come to Celtic when they're young, get good moves and go on to have great careers, it helps the club attract more quality young players.

Get your * back up to paradise on Sunday to watch a Hun skelping and that will put a smile back on your face Matt.
Terrible luck to suffer an injury on your debut for your new club.

Absolute * for him, always the worry when you go into a cup game against a lower league team, you know someone is going to be putting the boot in because they can't match for ability. Mind that's what happened to guchi in his first or second appearance for us, clamped by some hammer thrower, not that he was going to be a star, but ended his chance of contributing anything from day one.

Truly a class act on and off the field. Gutted for him to see he now needs surgery after that tackle. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery and is back on the field and at his brilliant best sooner rather then later.

What a guy. Probably the last thing on his mind right now what writing something like that when just 2 days ago he probably couldn’t wait to get that out as he clearly loved it here.

Truly gutting for MOR, and as everyone has said he seems a genuine decent man on and off the park. I remember MOR saying he’d asked Hart if all big clubs were like Celtic and Hart saying there’s no club like Celtic so MOR should drink it in and enjoy every minute, from his message he’s been doing that.
Hoping he isn’t out for too long but he left the ground on crutches.

One of the most likeable and down to earth players we’ve had in recent years.

It’s strange even though its gutting he’s gone, he deserves the move and really hope he goes all the way. He’ll be back in no time from the injury and ripping it up down there.

That lad will never, ever, have the fortune of stepping on a football park with a guy of MOR’s class ever again.
